For me it is thesis and elegant themes. You got to have a bit of programming knowledge to make it look nice though.

Are you a newbie who wants to kickstart your sales ASAP?
Do you have a killer product but lack the cash to hire a top-notch copywriter to help you rake in the profits you deserve?

I would go for theme frameworks on the first place and find a child theme of a ready made skin unless there is one perfect match for the niche I am creating my site for!

I am using Genesis and Thesis mostly!

I have a personal list of about 20 sites, but only a few I've put in bold:

    amazingwordpressthemes-com
    fahlstad-se
    freewpthemes-net
    themesforblogs-com
    wordpresstemplates-com
    wpthemesfree-com

The following premium theme sellers have decent free themes I've either used or considered:

    blogohblog-com
    woothemes-com

Apologies for the dash-coms; I can't post live URLs.

It depends on what you're doing with them. I like woothemes for blogs outside local business sites. And I like Expand 2 web's theme for local businesses because of the ease of use (both for you setting them up and for business owners to update). Plus, they have built in SEO elements.

I actually really like the Woothemes business themes and they also have some cool other ones out there nowadays like listings, diner, real estate, book club.

Yes I definitely like them yet I have not really tried anyone else.

Themeforest.net has a whole collection of theme providers and I think there is some high quality stuff there!
