I just read an article on Wordpress that may be
of interest to many of you guys who use it.

security issues with Wordpress...

yeah if you are using wordpress you should plan on constantly upgrading your sites to the latest version or you will eventually get hacked.

I thought MS Windows owned the first place?

The bigger userbase - the bigger buzz. Upgrades are important.

Solution 1: Go with hosted blog/cms and become prey to their TOS and inability to evolve.

Solution 2: Full Freedom + regular backups and updates.

That is eons and several Wordpress updates in internet time.
