Found a Niche, Ready to Go, but Wait...

The Plan: CPA offers in the financial space targeted towards freelancers.

Rationale:
Taxes for freelancers yield 320 monthly searches, and 13,300 results with "quotes" and 1.03 million results without. The domain is available. The competition doesn't seem too high - plenty of blog posts, with the exception of about.com's piece.

I was thinking of promoting the site via seo, article marketing (squidoo) and email marketing (aweber).

Questions:
  • Should I be focusing on CPA*?
  • Did I choose a good niche?
  • Am I focusing on too many traffic streams?
  • Any more tips for this first-timer?
  • Should I be looking at other related keywords to optimize around?

*Despite leaning towards CPA, I don't exactly know what I don't know, haven't considered or am wrong about. Am I right in thinking that I can successfully promote finance-related CPA offers to freelancers? Should I segment further? Should I focus on another rev. stream?

Thank you in advance,
Cynthia

    Hi Cynthia,

Your niche is quiet good. With the CPA, don't just focus on it. Try to explore more. Build more traffic the more traffic you have, the more your niche popular. But keep in mind that this is not an instant success, you have to give effort and time.
