Does giving away free Gift in this forum okey?

I have a great script and want to give it away to the community as my gratitude to all the information and help I got from this wonderful forum.

But I tried to post 3 days ago I guess here someone told me that I can not post in this forum a thread like that. He said I should post in the free forum, I tried to look for that forum in warrior but I can't find it.

So what I did is put the thread at Ads section where I paid $20 for this free give away to fellow warrior.

My question is why giving away free stuff as gratitude to the community is not allowed at warrior main forum.

  • i think freebies and offers should be listed elsewhere, but people are still doing it here and nobody seems to care.

for instance here's a popular one right now that's still up

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-warriors.html

I don't think they should be posted here because this forum will quickly get overrun with "freebies" and "offers", anybody can put together some free stuff, and that's what the other forum is for imho

That post was made by someone who has been a member here for years and has proven to provide value to the community.

Put that against the OP who has been here a very very short time and has not shown a proven track record as of yet.

If you post a freebie in the main forum you have to link directly to the gift with no optin required.

That rule is sometimes overlooked for long standing members who have proven themselves, but that is done by the community. If a post goes or stays it happens because the community has spoken.

Your gift required opting-in to your list and that's not allowed.

It's a membership site to which membership was offered for free to Warriors. As a membership site, the Warrior would need log in credentials, hence the registration requirement.

If you actually read the page it says:

"You have to fill out the fields username, password and repeat password. The other fields are optional."

It doesn't require an opt-in for access.

    Hi,

I think you can give the stuff away at a particular section at this forum.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/make-money-online/

That's where people give free ebooks or other stuff.

    Cheers,

    Jim Somchai,

      Thanks for pointing that link.

I just brought out the question so that everything is clear and next time I know where to post my stuff.

I guess it's a good practice to ask something that you're not sure before doing it.

I am with you, Many webmasters
      these
days know that technique. I remember my self when I was a
      beginner
( not saying advanced now or professional ) but I was putting my email in all
      op-tin
boxes i see, then guest I got full of spam

      BTW
: Its good if you can offer
      something
      that people would like.
