My New Site is Up

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi, well after sleepless nights and much frustation, I finally with a lot of help, have my new site up and running. Still have some tweaking to do but would appreciate comments/reviews from anyone interested in doing so.

Please note: If you view one page Inspirational Quotes in IE it will probably not load correctly, just cannot tweak anymore, so view in Firefox and all will be well. Am thinking of putting a little line like "if viewing in IE page will not load properly, use Firefox" - would appreciate Warriors thoughts on that - yep I know I should tweak more but I'm all tweaked out at present

  I'd recommend adding an actual graphic to the banner (like a picture of someone) instead of just text and a background.

I agree with both the above. Text I also feel is too small but with all the problems I have had with IE, I honestly at this point, haven't the courage to change it. Also, not quite sure where to change it either, as I didn't make the theme, though I am sure I could find where abouts the font size is located. Same with the banner, I did try to put in a graphic but somehow screwed up(: Not sure if that is me, or IE, which has given me massive problems with the entire site. Ended up putting the graphic in the main body of the front page - that seemed to be the only way it would work(:.

I understand where you're coming from about different areas but in my off-line work I find that they are all related.

LOL well you're not blind Adam. I have perfect vision, so can read it easily but I do agree, it should be bigger. Have just gone over and had a look at the theme editor but YIKES I'm not sure which font size to change to make the body text larger and still keep it all correct. Sorry guys, I'll do my best to find a way to make it larger, or rather find someone who can tell me which font size to change. Not quite ready to face another lot of 15 hour days trying to get IE to work - it doesn't like me at all(: Appreciate your comments, they are really helpful.

  That's a very cool compatibility tool that I plan to use a lot! I tested 15 browsers and had no issues except three in foreign languages that thought I had a virus/script error! Weird.

  Hi Mary: Love your site - Very clean and uncluttered. The type does need to be a little larger. Also, you need to move the word "welcome" down a bit. It is bumped up against your header. I am using IE6.

Look for
body { margin: 0; font-size: 11px; text-align: center; vertical-align: top; background: #333; color: #544b40; }
in the css file - try changing that font size to 12 or 13 - it looks to me as if the content is at the default size (which is the body size)

Alternately...
.entry { line-height: 14px; }
change to: .entry {font-size:12px; line-height: 15px; }

Hi Thank you Russ - I chose the theme because it reminded me of the library in my home back home Big fire, snow falling outside, good book and a brandy ballon of very good Cognac. I'm English, so I guess that explains the look.

Hi Dixie, thank you Am about tochange the font size, thanks to Kathy K showing me the way. Sorry, that welcome = it is only doing that in IE6. With the help of the person who made the theme, we have tweaked and tweaked but fraid IE and I do not seem to have a good relationsip at all!!!!!!!!!! It happened when I added another page, why I cannot fathom out. Try Firefox, everything loads perfectly in that.

Hi Kathy K and everyone. With Kathy's very clear instructions I have managed to change the body content font size. LOL now Adam will not go blind. I agree, now everyone should find it easier to read. Thanks again Kathy. And thanks to everyone else for letting me know about the font size. Bonus! It didn't screw in IE either YIPEE!!!!

Actually that isn't an image, it should be and shows as, just a line with a drop down menu. Didn't want too much 'clutter' with icons and stuff
