Do you mean if you're promoting an affiliate offer to your email list?

If so, Clickbank doesn't require it... the FTC requires you to notify your subscribers that the content of your email could put money in your pocket and that you are an affiliate of that product.

That is absolutely correct. If you are using Word Press there is a Compensation Disclosure plugin.

I've seen a few people include it right above their unsubscribe button in the email... something like this...

"Please be aware by clicking links in this email you could be putting money in my pockets."

The FTC just asks that you disclose the fact that you're promoting products.

doesn't that seem like something that will scare them off? would something like
"this is a affiate offer" or "this is a special affiate offer" work better? or something like that?

      Hi Matt,

What you wrote may be the cause reader don't clicking on the link - unless they know you well.

Advisable to avoid to mention the word 'affiliate'.

      Best,

Just check FTC regulations and word it accordingly, doesn't have to be to complicated, just something stating that if they buy a product through your link, you can expect to earn a commission.
I'm not sure on the disclaimer regulations with e-mails, FTC update there policies quite often.

Put it right at the bottom of the e-mails, a few lines down (leave a gap)..
