pay per download/install affiliate sites?

I've got an idea to start up a site offering free downloads. Not quite sure what exactly I want to market yet, but I've been trying to find companies that offer that & am having a very hard time with it. No matter how vague/ descriptive I get with my searches, I get the same rediculous search results that really have nothing to do with what I'm looking for. I've heard of people being successful with this before so I know it can be done. Any suggestions on keyword searches or know affiliate programs that offer free downloads to customers? Thanx

    There are downloadables as DLS on neverblue and other networks, you can also try payperinstall.com a network focusing on this market as a standalone.
