I've been using EasyMemberPro but recently all the pages I've created there disappeared and don't know how to fix it. I'm now planning to use mail Chimp as alternative to EasyMemberPro and Aweber. Am I doing the right thing?

EMP has very good support. I'd put a ticket in. Danielle will even wander around your control panel if you let her... regards Allen

EasyMemberPro is better than Aweber. It has a lot of support. Stick to EMp and ask somebody who knows how to fix it.

Don't know your skill level, but I would ditch all that and go with using amember and listmailpro. You have to host it, but it's dirt cheap in the long run. Been using both for over 5 years now on about 5 sites.

I too am affected by this outage! But even bigger than this one incident; what happens if Anthony die's, goes out of business, the hosting provider goes out of business, Internet routing gets hosed, DNS resolution gets hosed.... Is this how I want to run my business that I've invested so much in... Why should my business be dependent on his business... Just sounds like bad business and to tell you the truth, no matter how good this software seems, its seriously flawed and I think I need to look for another solution (unless Anthony changes his stance) How do you guys feel????

Let me know, IM curious if everyone really understands the seriousness of this issue!!!
Yes , I'm with you ... I did not realise that the script validation occured every time admin was accessed - very sloppy to not ensure his site was safe.... I would say that EMP is history now .. who would buy it after this fiasco?

Your members areas should still be working and your members won't know there is a problem.
It is just the admin part that has been compromised due to the call back function.

For those of you who need to access your admin panel, I have a fix for this problem.

This EMP business is incredibly frustrating. When I bought the license I didn't realize it would only work if their website was functional - I'm not liking the fact that I don't have control over this. I need to update at least one of those sites TODAY. The other could wait a week or so if necessary.

Janet, I would appreciate any advice you can offer on this!!

I totally agree; I've been very careful with this too. When I bought an "unlimited websites" license for EMP I wasn't aware that it "calls home" every time I log in, and if it doesn't get an answer I'm locked out. Not liking that at ALL. Are there other membership software that don't do that? What about amember? How do we know if this is built in or not? The sales page might not say.

Well i used to be solid on EMP - until 2 days ago
the script requires a call back to main site to validate if genuine software - if not validated the admin is locked out - the main site has it's hosting account suspended at the moment(past 2 days) - so all owners of software are locked out of their admin.
Apears the script owner forgot to pay a bill/update a credit card or ... we are just guessing he he has not responded to any thread on WF - or anywhere that I can see else since this started.

I have clients where I made membership sites for and I just used hidden areas or password areas where you have to login to access the area. For example, I use vBulletin for various membership sites where only members can access the information within.
