Project Cleanup-Any pointers?

I currently have 37,006 messages sitting in my Live Mail inbox. {cries} I also have over 250 articles on my desktop. I know this is why my little netbook has been hanging up when it's running videos and such. Ay yi yi.

Anyway, has anyone done a major cleanup recently or likes certain tools to clean things up? I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the task at hand.

    go through each file, and put them in seperate folders. Label each folder a name
    -to do in June
    -to do this year.

    but what works for me might not work for you.

    Sometimes it's hard to remember where you have put your files (which folder) you can use tags when you save your files, that will help you do your search!
