Amazon Content Question?

I have an Amazon product site which published many products by using an Amazon plugin. The published posts are always indexed in Google within several minutes. But they have never ranked into top 10 no matter how many links you built to link it.

My question is, does anybody rank the content which Amazon plugin produced well? If not, do I have to remove all these indexed content and add some unique review page? Thanks in advance.

Some of them can rank well if the product is not popular at all and no other people are selling it.

I haven't used the plugin, but you should take a look at what its creating to see if it looks good from an on-page SEO perspective. Check the basics to start for the keyword you want to rank: is it in the url, title, what do the meta tags look like (are they there), keyword density within the content, keyword in h1 tags, bolded... just some things to check quickly.

The on-page SEO is good because they are all duplicated content copied from Amazon site by the plugin. It seems Google has never ranked the duplicate content any more. So I'm thinking the plugin is useless now.

it's scraped content and you'll have a hard time getting it to rank well most of the time. Your time would be better spent with Unique articles.

Amazon plugins are great but IMHO you need to add unique content in order to rank. The plugins should supplement your site, not be its only content source.

If you use any of these plugins to SOLELY create a scraped affiliate store with nothing else on the site, you probably won't see much rankings and traffic from search engines, especially after the recent updates.

You have to create unique content based around keywords which would sell the products you're displaying with the plugin. Then that content should funnel the traffic to your affiliate store & then to the vendor.

I have several sites where I do just that, and I even noindex the 'store' lately and nofollow all outgoing affiliate links, so basically it is ONLY my unique content which brings the traffic by being on first page for the given keyword, and then I tastefully provide that traffic with relevant information and redirect them to my 'store'. It works out great.

The point is, these plugins are not a cookie-cutter solution. They should be used as a complement to your site, not as your site. Hope that makes sense.

Based on my experience, many people using Amazon Default Content to fill their website. You cannot rely only in this content. You have to be creative adding more relevant content.

Yesterday, I researched some long Amazon product keyword in Google. I did find some page which was copied from Amazon ranks in the first page. However, for the hot product keywords, no duplicate content is in the first page of Google. That means the duplicate content is still working but definitely it is ranked behind the unique content under the same situation. Thanks for making the things clear.
