Which Thailand hotel booking affiliate program is the best?

Hey there,

I know there must be a few Warriors making money with Thailand hotel booking sites. I've found several and have a hard time deciding which are the best. The ones I've found are:

Agoda.com partner program
Hotels.com on Commission Junction
Ido24.com - white label/co-brainding
R24.com - some good feeds

Agoda and Hotels.com I know pay out, but they lack a bit in their feeds and widgets.

Ido24 and R24 seems to have a lot of customizable stuff, but their booking system seems a little cluttered and I'm worried about conversion rate and if they even pay out.

Anyone have experience with the above?

    I've never heard of Agoda.com, Ido24.com, or R24.com

That there is enough for me to base my decision.

Living in Thailand the most popular i see is Agoda although I would never use a booking agency to book a hotel here in Thailand cause its way cheaper if you just come and find one.

That is one of the best things about living in Thailand, you can get a real 5 star hotel for about $90 a night, and if your like me that dont like all that 5 star stuff, you can get a really really nice room for $30 a night.

I took my chopper on a long bike ride and my mate and I got a brand new boutique style fancy hotel for $14 a night RIDICULOUSLY cheap.

And if your really not into anything fancy you can get a comfortable room for $6 a night

        Kickin it on Amazon

I also live in Thailand and have used a couple of the booking portals for tourist related services. I preferred Agoda and R24, they have different hotel selections so using both is not a bad idea.

If you promote to incoming visitors, I would strongly make the point to them that walking in off the street to book a hotel during the high tourist season in a popular tourist resort is not the thing to do. I have personally been quoted 2-2,500 baht/night for hotel rooms that can be booked online for less than 1,000 if you book in advance.

      Hope it helps.

Agoda seems to be the leading agency to East Asia (including Thailand). I would have beef it up with HotelsCombined, which allows you to instantly compare the world's leading hotel booking agencies, and although the commissions you remain with are FAR smaller than with the agencies themselves, the turnover is much, much higher, and they pay per LEAD, so at the end of the day, they ars worth working with

A few more points to consider:

Agoda has a personal touch (I'm not familiar with the others, so I can't comment...) and if they would feel your website can generate good traffic, they might just as well agree to negotiate a higher commission with you, in exchange to exclusivity

HotelsCombined are easy to integrate into your own website (white labeling) which helps you to strength your OWN branding !

I have a Thailand based site (moneynumberone.net) and joined Agoda around 2 years ago.
I was making sales occasionally from a Review post I have on my site, but last week had a query from a someone who'd made a booking from the page, paid his money through his credit card but never recieved confirmation from Agoda. Nor did they notify me of the sale as they always do.

He sent me another email today saying he's had to rebook and was charged twice. On checking my email, sure enough there was the booking notification but when I tried to log into my Agoda affiliate account to check on the commission....My account has been locked and to contact Admin.
However, in order to contact Admin, you need to be logged in and I can't log in because my account has been locked.
I replied to the notification of booking email asking for an explanation but I'm not holding my breath waiting for a reply.

I'm another person living in Thailand. I can't comment on any of the programs as an affiliate but in terms of booking hotels I've used Agoda and Wotif (not sure if Wotif has an affilate program). Booking.com seems to popular with friends coming from the UK.

Everyone told me about these amazingly cheap rooms in Thailand. Wasn't the case when I went there. I thought it was an overpriced dump compared to other SE Asian countries.

ido24.dom & 2thailand.org are 2 big companies offering a variety of services for tourism destinations & are even good at affiliate stream income for people who like to get associated with them...

These companies have a direct registration page where you can setup your account & can start doing marketing of their services.

Does anyone know if the Agoda affiliate program tracks visits from mobiles? eg... when a visitor goes to agoda.com/?CID=myidnumber and then clicks "agoda for mobile" which takes them to the m.agoda.com site?

HotelTravel.com is worth taking a look at. They are the only affiliate program that I can find that is paying an actual 'minimum monthly bonus' of $16.66 USD or as they like to say; $200 USD bonus per year. Not a bad collection of tools as well and much better correspondence and help than Agoda or HotelsCombined regarding technical issues. They also pay 10 cents US per click.
