I'm just a newbie who has yet to write an article so I wanted to get you guys feedback and personal experiences regarding these two. I realize that there are people making six figures with both companies but I would love to hear why you prefer one over the other and your thoughts on which would be more newbie friendly.

Clickbank for sure. Amazon works for my "comparison" websites.

For ex. Triton Headsets vs. Logitech Headsets (great for Amazon)

Pure Article Marketing? Clickbank, great conversions and high payouts.

Many marketers use both, plus other affiliate programs as well. Test your niche, and find what works best for you.

What I do is use Clickbank and Amazon primarily to build up lists in dozens of niches through article marketing, then continually sell high end Amazon products and a few other affiliate programs within these niches.

Your profits will soar by building a list, to which you can then promote any relevant affiliate products. The old aphorism, "the money is in the list", is more applicable today than ever before due to increasing competition.

myob, could you go into detail about this? I continually read about list building even with article marketing so I would love to get some sound advice about it.

I like them both - I do make alot more from Clickbank, but that's because I've been using Clickbank for years, and I only started concentrating on Amazon properly in the past year.

Clickbank is better for some niches - Amazon for others. It just depends on what you're promoting. Don't limit yourself to one or the other.
