Hi,

Does anyone have a list high PR sites to get backlinks for
local business like restaurants.

Which local directories & city guides are good for this.

This is one area that is still fairly undeveloped, and it can vary for each city. Some cities have some excellent guides while others are still lacking in this department. Here are a few idea:
- Search google for "cityname directory"
- See if the local newspaper offers listings
- Get into Yahoo for your city
- Look for complimentary businesses in your city. For example, there might be an attraction that lists nearby restaurants
- Look for social groups in your city that list places to go.
- Get listed in Google Local

But you need to have top quality content and high PR backlinks! For local lists and city guides you are best searching Google yourself for this as, each area will have different directories and guides!

I havent done any SEO locally yet but I am pretty sure it wont be hard to get first page ranking. Maybe some bookmarking, submit a video to youtube, link it all together from a squidoo lens maybe. I cant see it being that hard to get ranked since the competition probably wont be optimized like you will be.

I specialise in Local Business SEO and i can say that local business directories are a great place to start for backlinks. Im lucky to have a Business directory in my city that gives you do follow .gov pr8 backlinks. Unlucky for most that not all cities have these quality directories.

You could also do a search for blogs that focus on your local area and niche and get good related backlinks from commenting their posts (make sure your comments add quality to their blog posts).

also bookmarking and article submissions for good backlinks.

I will get them at least a top ten ranking in google.

How should I setup payment, request 1/2 down & the balance when I achievethe desired results, or use a escrow service.

Which business owners are the easiest ones to convince for this service.

First... it's not about convincing... it's about demonstrating the value
of your knowledge and expertise in a way that obviously shows the benefit
to them.

Second... NEVER guarantee search engine rankings. You can apply all your
knowledge but you can't control what the search engines may do next.

Well I can recomend you to look at the Sales section of this forum, their was someone that was selling high PR link for completlly bargains price

Try posting an ad or two on backpage.com and post something relevant in the topix.com local forums. Both are high PR and get indexed VERY quickly.
