A $50k+ Product Launch Advice

From my experience,

If you are launching a new product, and a new company....

Far less people will trust your personal affiliate program.

People would have to rely on you making good on payments.

People won't trust you enough to bother making sales for you.

Even with paydotcom, this is a problem, because again the affiliate
has to rely on the product owner paying the owed fees to the affiliate.

Many marketers have worked hard and made sales, and then not received
payment for their commissions. The product owner goes out of business, or gives up on IM, or is just a jerk, and never pays the affiliates.

For this reason, I highly recommend you launch your product with clickbank.

Yes, you pay them fees... but people TRUST clickbank and know that they will get their cheque.

Also, there are SO MANY affiliates already selling products and LOOKING for new products on clickbank, you'd be a fool not to be in the marketplace.

Why go out and HUNT for brand new affiliates that won't trust your system, when you can easily attract clickbank affilaites with websites already setup to sell clickbank products on autopilot ?

You have much to learn, I would attempt to answer this, butyou are best off using the search function in here and finding out what you need.

There is a treasure trove of info in here about that.

Trying to be helpful, not critical.

From the questions you asked in your original post, I would say you are a long way off from a big product launch. You said you don't have time to study and learn these things, you want them handed to you all in one place.

If you mean a big, big Clickbank IM related launch you should know that those guys will spend $10,000+ to a copywriter for their sales copy and maybe almost that much to a first class web designer for their layout and design.

The top guys will also have affiliate contests and give away $5k to sometimes over $20 in prizes to top affiliates. You also need a good (large) subscriber list and the ability to draw in many top (and I mean very top) affiliates to promote for your launch and pre-launch stages.

I'm not suggesting you can't do this, but a real product launch begins many months prior to the actual launch date. If you're not willing to take the time to learn the ropes, I wouldn't think you would get much of a launch off the ground. A product launch (a real product launch) is a big deal and takes tons of planning and coordination of many things to be successful.

Like I said, I'm sure you could do this--if you have the time to learn and the money to breathe life into it. It's not a little thing. --Mike

Spend some time getting familiar with product launches and bootstrap your way up. Big launches don't just happen... there is a lot of work all the way through from announcing your launch, creating the product, setting up the system etc etc

I haven't been through PLF3 myself, but Jeff's products are one of the very few I'd recommend.

Your message is conflicting. You talk about big marketers mailing for you but you are asking really non-specific, general/basic questions.

I don't mean that in a derogatory way but I'm confused. Who is going to mail for you when they don't even know yet how they're getting paid?

Regardless, I would highly recommend Clickbank as the payment/affiliate/tracking end of things will be handled for you.
