Ezinearticles

Hi all, relative noob here. Can anyone give a quick list of dos and don'ts when it comes to posting articles on ezine? Like, what should I put in the resource box? Are links within the article permitted? I have seen somewhere that an article should be 400 - 500 words. Should the article contain keywords relative to the niche the article is about?
Am I just trying for the lazy way out here? I can just imagine getting "flamed" and told to go to Ezine and find out for myself. I started that, but it seems there is so much information, I was hoping for a quick synopsis from those here who have had articles accepted by Ezine.

    Ezinearticles have extremely strict guidelines on how you can publish your articles.

    No links are permitted in the article content. A maximum of two links are permitted in the resource section. No sales-promotional material in the article content, only in the resource section. No bad grammar or glaring spelling errors.
