Did you fail launching WSO?

Hi mates, there's always success and failure on business, the same with launching WSO.

Can u share a bit when launching a WSO, what do you think made you fail?

Can I ask, have you actually failed launching a WSO yet?

If not then wouldn't it be best to ask what people did to succeed, not fail.

    Never plan to fail.

I agree with WillR. Better question to ask is, "What made you succeed?"

Faliure is relative. If you've learned, then you didn't really fail. There are a couple of things you need to have a succesful WSO. One is an incredible claim right up front. People buying them are looking for easy answers so your headline has to promise one.

The other thing is proof of your claims so screenshots of earnings go a long way as well as testimonals from other Warriors. You can get those by offering review copies before or during the first hour or two of the actual WSO.

Of course, having a really good product is nice too but very few people will know that unless the above items are in place. You also want to get to the point with your offer. People want to know what you've got and what it will do for them. Long copy is almost never necessary as Warriors are already a very warm and willing market.

Not doing these things can hurt you but again, if you learn from the mistake, it's not failure, it's feedback.

I agree, learning from your mistakes means that it is not a total failure. It
s sure,ly not what you were trying to achieve, though and that makes it a failure in many respects.

My biggest mistake in the WSO that failed to live up to expectations the most was that I didn't get any testimonials before I launched, and especially testimonials from influential warriors. If you want to shoot your WSO in the foot, that's a great way to do it. It doesn't matter how powerful the product is, if others don't reinforce it's effectiveness, you'll usually go nowhere fast.

I have ran two, both being PLR so they work a little differently than a standard WSO.

The first was highly focused, and really was a deal compared to my normal pricing. It was slow to start, but it paid for the listing within a few days. It still makes sales today.

The second was a WSO that was based around 3 different niches. The sale rate was good, but not as significant as the break on my first WSO. I broke even on this WSO within the week, but really never took off like the first one. It does still make sales.

If I had to list a failure point for my WSOs it would be the fact that I had a crude system of collecting email addresses in place. Using Getresponse and Ejunkie together does make it a tad difficult on this end, but I think I would simply just add in a few extra articles as a bonus to entice the sign up. I can customize the landing page after purchase, so this should be easy.

I had no testimonials when I started, so the WSOs were mainly to get me noticed. I did learn that, while I fully believe in my quality, I do not have the reputation like Tiffany Dow, so I have to work a little bit harder to make it work out. She can get away with a smaller price break simply because she has the reputation.

I have no regrets, it was good experience overall. I was happy from the start simply because I cleared the fear barrier of launching one. I hope to have an actual product to release as a WSO before all too long, another fear barrier to cross.

Actually, I think the only way to "fail launching WSO" is to not launch it. lol

Even if there is just one word on the sales page and no payment button, you have succeeded in launching.

Man, and I paid for Jeff Walker's stuff . I gotta try that next time!

        How would this word work?

P.S. One thing that helps enormously is if you have a good list to promote your WSO to. That can bring a huge influx of visitors by right out of the gate and get you tons of good comments and sales right away.

If you're using WSO Pro you can try to get others to promote your offer for a commission. That can be a huge thing if you can get a few whales to promote for you. Good luck--Mike

I would highly recommend both of these things. I just did my first launch and while it hasn't been HUGE I've more than broken even and have had some real fun doing it.

Having a little list to start the promotion off really helped a lot!

Better to ask what succeeded than what failed. Surely you'd rather duplicate success?

Create a product, a high quality product. Make sure that your product is something that people are interested in or will solve a problem they have. Your WSO can also be service oriented .... providing a service that people are looking for.

I would avoid jumping into the Make Money Online market unless you really do know how to make money online and have something unique to offer.

I honestly think my first and only WSO (thus far) wasn't a raging success because I didn't use blind copy. I explained in my sales letter exactly what was in the ebook. Not the actual techniques, but what you would be learning.

I also explained that it required some work on the buyer's part. It wasn't touted as an easy button solution--thus I believe my sales were hindered because of that.

A majority of people are seeking out an easy button, which is something I don't offer. I didn't lose money with the WSO, barely broke even. However, I didn't have one refund request--so those who purchased got exactly what they were looking for.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I'll share how I created 1 WSO that netted 100k in sales and will include what I have done in others that made it successful..

    The right product:

    1. Research what people are having problems with on the WF and check to see which WSO's are selling like hotcakes.. Send out an email to your list to get a feeler for it, see if people are interested. Ie; Hey folks, would you interested in getting your hands on a product that can do XYZ for you etc etc.

If the response is favorable move on to #2.

    2. Create a product that will help people solve their problems.

    3. Offer that product as a WSO.

Is it REALLY that simple Matt?... Yes guys & girls it is.

Once I had the product, I researched competitors for pricing and to see what their product had that mine did not. (You always want to 1 UP your competition - even on a WSO)

Next, you will need to think about a delivery system for when the customer purchases to get their download. A number of them I ran through Warrior Plus, the one that netted me 100k I ran through my Delavo system. It suited my needs a bit better for this so I went with Delavo. The benefit of using Warrior Plus is obviously the affiliate side of it. It's not a bad thing when others can help you promote it.

Create an OTO and offer that package on the download page, it can be additional mentoring, coaching, etc something relating directly to what you just sold them.

In your auto-responder - first followup email should encourage the customer to come back and leave feedback for a bonus.

    Incorrect way
Again - feedback not "Hey, if you leave me a good review, I will hook you up with XYZ as a bonus"

    Correct way
"Hey Thanks for your purchase, I would really appreciate if you could leave me feedback at my wso page HERE, for doing so I will give you a bonus worth xx dollars"

In addition to that, if you have WSO's in the same niche attach the links in the email that goes out. There is a very good chance they will buy em all because you made them aware of them.

    Other bits:

Don't offer review copies - it makes the product look weak as if you don't believe in it.

Don't lie or post fake screen shots.

Offer some sort of guarantee for the WSO

Use a subject line targeting the market you want to reach yet clever enough to make them want to click. It makes no sense to say "DONT CLICK ON THIS" While it may get more views and clicks you will get less sales because its not very targeted .. (Yes I have tested in the 60k views my own WSO received)

Last but not least ...Support support and more support.. Don't skimp on support on a WSO or online, In the WSO section people are FAST to point out they have been waiting 2 days, while you may have a life, be sure to at east go through support issues 1-2 times a day.

Now just say that 10x fast.

And you know it just might work that way, as now I'm tempted to go google that word and if it is the actual name of a website it would drive me there to make a direct payment.
