Alertpay - recommend them? Or Not?

I have never had dealings with Alertpay only Paypal. As we know a lot of Warriors have had trouble with Paypal sometimes for no apparent reason.

Is Alertpay acceptable to most warriors as an alternative payment provider?

Do they have the instant download facility when clients are redirected to merchant after payment just like Paypal ?

Any known issues with them?

They seem pretty reliable, but never had alot of money go in at once.
I heard that propay is the best if your expecting thousands of dollars flooding into your account all at once, this is what we ultimatley want right?

Does anyone know if they have the instant download like Paypal does?

Nowhere on Alertpay does it even mention it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "like PayPal does", Tony.

PayPal handles the money only. They don't host dowload pages for your product: you have to do that yourself.

PayPal is a financial processor like AlertPay, not a retailer like Clickbank.

As far as I'm aware, for the purposes of selling a digital product, you can use AlertPay the same way you use PayPal. In other words, no: they don't host product-download pages, but neither does PayPal. You have to send your customer to your own download page, after payment, with either PayPal or AlertPay, as far as I'm aware?

I'm wondering if it might help people to answer if you described in a little more detail exactly which PayPal facility it is you find lacking in AlertPay? Maybe you're entirely right, but I've used both services for over 3 years each, now, and I don't quite understand what you're referring to; sorry.

In general, I do recommend AlertPay: I like them very much - they're my favourite PayPal alternative, for sure.

Yes, they do. You can specify the url when setting up the pay button from inside their interface.

Thanks Kavi that's exactly what I mean - 'return to merchant' set so people can get their download automatically instead of waiting for an email from me.

It is not even mentioned anywhere on their site which I think is losing them IM customers.

          Hi Tony,

AlertPay may work very well for your business. The feature that you are looking for is called our IPN function, or Instant Payment Notification. When someone completes a purchase through your "Buy Now" button, you can set up your IPN to automatically send a report to a specified URL. If you are selling digital services you can then have that URL (upon confirmation of a sale), send out the product or access code.

The IPN is one of several business tools available to help our merchants. To set up the IPN you would need a Personal Pro or Business account with AlertPay.

          Hope this helps!

I just had to get an AlertPay account because I'm starting to outsource some work and a few of the guys (in Pakistan) do not have PayPal. So far AlertPay is pretty simple, I'm waiting on the micro deposits to confirm my bank account so I haven't been able to use it to send or receive money yet.

All payment processors just provide you financial services. So if you looking for downloading option than contact your programmer or do it yourself if you have enough knowledge about it.

People more use PayPal. But PayPal has many limitations.
For example, AlertPay accepts multi-level marketing, mature content and other often considered `risky` businesses. All those are forbidden by PayPal TOS.

I used them a few times but I still prefer Paypal simply because they have better credibility for my buyers.

However, I still think that AlertPay is a good alternative. And they are a young company and with time, credibility and acceptance will improve IMO.

    Hi,

I created a Alertpay accnt and wanted to use them to collect payments! i applied for merchants account and i got denied because and as they said my the policy on my website wasn't clear enough, rejected 2 more times after that, and in the third time when there was no problem with my policy they said that due to the nature of my business I'll have to provide them with my business plan in order to be able to collect payments ...

So it might not be the perfect choice i after paypal i guess, because other than collecting payments they are pretty much useless because not a lot of people are using them (yet), and submitting a business plan is not a good option for everyone .

Yes, there is a downside in being in the IM niche. I remember a few years ago being turned down for an email autoresponder account because "In your line of business we get a lot of spam complaints".

LOL... Been there. Had the same problem. I have used PP for years, but with my new venture, I needed to use Alertpay and it took me 2 attempts to get approved and submit a business also. I got approved on the third time as well.

It does give me comfort though in that they are diligent in making sure that everything is above board and honest. Even though it took some time, it makes it better for all merchants there. I found their customer service to be very quick and helpful. I just wish more people used them so that it would be more common, but I am slowly going to switch most of my sites over to them.

We've just integrated AlertPay into Digital Delivery App due to customer demand. It's especially popular in countries like India where PayPal has limited how much you can trade. As it's only been live a week we're yet to get any feedback volume over whether it's better or worse then PayPal but initial reaction from our customers seem to think it's quite good.

If you're after Digital Delivery services with either PayPal or AlertPay as the payment processor you might like to check out our service (links in signature).

I too think that Alertpay is the best option than Paypal. They are very responsive in solving the issues & always ahead of what you may expect from Paypal.

Regarding receiving Payment I think the good thing they do monitor your Terms of Services which I think is an added advantage, having this will help the customers to know that the payment processor do care of whom they are sending money.

And what Alertpay say the IPN system work is good option available with good Payment Processor.

I too accept Alertpay on my website or rather I should say after using Paypal for some time I prefer Alertpay much & now Alertpay is my Main Processor for handling my site cards transactions & I am happy with them.

    Thanks & regards

I see a lot of sites now showing a Paypal button as well as an Alertpay button so people can decide which payment processor they want to use. In some countries Paypal can't be used because of the financial regulations of that country prohibiting any company that is not licensed by their regulators from taking money off people.

Interesting to note that it is the IPN thingy I have got to be aware of with Alertpay when setting up downloads.

I signed up for moneybookers.. they are very confusing in my opinion. I'm still not sure what the heck is going on once I'm logged in.

I have never had any problems with Alertpay. They have very prompt and reasonable capital release options. And there are not many negative reviews.

I have also used Plimus, with satisfaction, though the general jury still seems to be out on Plimus.

The key with Plimus, I suspect is to vigorously poll them as to the legality and compatibility of what you do with the TOS. That compells them to cooperate in the long term, if you go the original AOK.

Alertpay is a good payment processor and have almost all sorts of options like paypal but the important thing is that it does not have a wide number of users like paypal but It seems alertpay can be the most dangerous competitor for paypal.

PayPal permanently froze my account because I offered higher commissions to customers. Affiliates got 50% and customers got 75%. PayPal said that was against their terms of service.

When PayPal froze my account, they also canceled over $20,000 in recurring subscriptions and they are keeping over $6,000 for 6 months.

AlertPay approves your website to accept credit cards. So you don't have to worry about violating terms of service.

PayPal just doesn't give a sh*t because they think they're the ecommerce God.

AlertPay seems good, the bank transfers are a little slow, I've been waiting three days and it's still "Pending" hopefully after this first bank transfer (my bank account is verified) it won't take as long.
