As a new Clickbank vendor, what are your greatest challenges?

Hello all,

If you were promoting a new product as a Clickbank Vendor, what are your biggest challenges in getting your product up and selling? Note: I'm not talking about you being an affiliate, I'm directing this towards the vendors who are selling a product for other people to affiliate.

What would you say is your greatest concern when creating a new product?

What would you say is the part that requires the bulk of your time, aside from creating the product?

What would you say requires the most $$ to do, aside from creating the product and/or pitch page?

Overall, are there specific areas that caused your product to fail, from which you would do differently a second time around?

Do you feel you've done all you can to get affiliates directed towards your new product?

Thanks!

I would say attracting affiliates and getting my product to rank high in gravity during the first few days of release.

If you have a KILLER sales page, sales video, and a great affiliate center, then your next move is to over-price the competition. Charge more, and then have a higher commission. Also, develop a back-end as quickly as possible, and be sure your affiliates get commission on that too.

When you have all of the above and a good EPC, affiliates will find YOU.

Apart from making sure that your offer converts and is lucrative for affiliates, Greatest challenge is to getting an army of affiliates to promote your stuff for you

Overpricing can backfire, because as you said, it's about EPC. (sometimes lower pricing can result in more leads upfront which will result in more people in your sales funnel thus, more chances for backend sales.)

But as you said, your page better convert before looking for affiliates. The top affiliates know their metrics and won't waste time on poor converting pages/offers.

When a vendor launches a new site it is expected that he has covered everything that he needs to like copy, design, keywords, etc. His biggest challenge after the launch would the be affiliates.

Oh wow, it seems resoundingly that the key is affiliates.

Would you then say that the vendor has to go after the affiliates, or do the affiliates generally come to the vendor?

How long does a Clickbank affiliate hoplink "persist" on a vendor's website? What if the visitor bookmarks the site and goes back to buy the next day? It all seems "loose". That is my concern as an affiliate - and it makes me wonder whether it is worthwhile.

60 day cookie. So if you bookmark the site, and revisit it and buy it, he affiliate gets full credit. Very legit.

If you are launching your product on clickbank, than you need to keep some thing in your mind...

The biggest challenge that you will face here is to get affiliates and increase your gravity..

You should concentrate on your gravity in order to attract the affiliates.

One more thing that you should keep in mind to improve the conversion rate on your product is, Landing Page Optimization.

You should optimize your landing page as much as possible in order to get the best conversion rate. Keep on testing when you are optimizing it, check out what works the best for you.

Now when you start making sales on clickbank and you have also got a few affiliates, then you need to focus on stability..

Remember, on clickbank you go up like crazy if you start once but staying there is a big challenge. So you need to make sure that you have an actual product (a nice and useful product) because you also have a refund policy on clickbank.

Interesting comments about gravity. Is it really important for a new product on clickbank to immediately have a high gravity?

Is there a consequence of a person creating a new clickbank product account, then working for 1-2 months to create the pitch page/sales site/etc, and then finally launch the product, 1-2 months AFTER clickbank approved it?

To get the clickbank approval you need to show them the actual product, the landing page you have made and everything you want to show to your users.
So, the product needs to be ready if you want the approval from clickbank.
Follow their rules in-case you don't want any issues regarding the approvals.
Well, it wont take much time to get your product approved.
Anyways, after you get the approval, you can make a bit tweeks to your product.
