Bio Box of Article Sites Help Please

Hi I wrote articles a few years ago and restarting. I have a few new articles written but what is slowing me down is not knowing what to put in the bio box. I have read that is where we can put our link ( or domain name forwarded to the link) but I need ideas please on what to write there. I am looking for short and sweet and yet want them to of course click. Any and all suggestions are welcomed thanks

    What you want is to put your link in twice in the bio box generally speaking.

    Something like:

    "If you are wanting to learn more about the art of flirting, whether it be to attract your dream guy or to keep things fresh and spicy in a current relationship, take a look at this free 6 day mini course on how to flirt with guy's. www.000relationships.com is a site run by experts in the relationship field. If you want to know how to attract, find and keep your man then this is the place to learn.

    (obviously dont click on the links as I'm merely giving you an example of one of my article bio-boxes for your benefit)

    One link must be anchor text meaning the link itself is the exact keywords you are targeting and the second link can be the full affiliate site name(obviously with a domain redirect)

    I like to look for offers that have a free giveaway or the very least I study the affiliate sales page and pick something to use as an incentive for the reader to click through my link.

    Then obviously throw in some tasty adjectives to stir the emotions of the readers like the above example. This technique has given me a 9-13% clickthrough over all my articles which i can assure you is rather good

      I deliberately don't treat the "bio box" as a separate entity. I simply write it as if it were the final, closing paragraph of my article. It provides a far better flow to the structure and thus, it forces more people to read it because it becomes part of the whole item.

      Hi Kathryn,

      Four quick things to say, here:-

      (i) First, I strongly endorse and agree with Annie's post above, which will help you a lot;

      (ii) Secondly, if you use the search function, and search only for threads with the word "resource" (as in "resource box", which is what we call a "bio box") in their titles, the results will bring up a lot of very interesting and helpful threads like this one, most of which contain some pretty good answers to your question: it's a very little bit of research for maybe a big reward ;

      (iii) Thirdly, don't assume that increasing the click-through rate of your articles in directories will necessarily lead to more sales. I consistently earn a lot more now, with an average click-through rate of 18%/19%, than I did a couple of years ago when I had an average click-through rate of 38% - they're different people clicking. Quantitative approaches can be very misleading. It's easy to imagine that "more is necessarily better" but it isn't always true, and sometimes even the opposite can be true;

      (iv) Lastly, you'll think me pedantic, perhaps, but try not to think of the resource-box as a "bio box": people tend not to click on "bio boxes". Very few people are interested in the author's "bio" - and the ones who are mostly aren't customers anyway. Look at it as the natural continuation of the article itself, and the link to something valuable.
