Help! Too many keywords?

Hi all, I have recently made a blog and it is not ranking very well at all. I appears on the 12th or so page on google for the keyword I want it to rank for.

I was just wondering if you guys had any opinion on whether or not I have spammed too many of my keywords around my blog. I have heard that too many of the same keyword can hurt your SEO rankings.

The link to my blog is in my signiture.

The main keyword I want it to rank for: secrets to success

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Content keyword density in my opinion should be under 2 percent. The reason is that you should also be using LSI keywords. LSIkeywords.com is a free website where you can put your keyword in and find other keywords that are being used by the top ten listings on Google for your niche.

If you were to incorporate some of the LSI keywords into your content you will find yourself moving up the ranks in Google pretty soon I would think..

Probably you should check readership of your blog by user point of view. because i normally observed many blog owner just give information for the sake of only their business not for users so you should observe this perfectly and then link many relevant blogs by commenting and social media is the good platform to attract visitors.

From what I see you are not using Proper SEO. No sub headings with your keyword in them, headers contain only the keyword, no underlined, bolded, or italicize keywords, and all your keywords are the same.

You will be more successful if you get a variety of keywords and start writing posts around each one of them. This will give you the benefit of being able to grab ranking for more than just one keyword.

do proper keyword research, use google adwords and wonder wheel as an initial start. if you want you can use paid service such as wordtracker.
strip out irrelevant keywords suggested by these tools
check out the supply / demand ratios of the keywords. choose wisely such as less competitive but more visits. then take the top 5 and start blogging about them. Intertwine the less competitive into your posts. Then create backlinks to your blog and interlink in your internal pages. Keep doing this gradually and you should start seeing your site rising up for the important keywords! BTW dont give up!

The technique in google adwords is not using the top 5 keywords since there are many competitors using it already. Try using the top 5-15 keywords, first. This way, you have less competitors. Also, try looking at the reader's point of view. Target markets search for what they need and not promotional stuff. So try writing blogs that would suffice what your prospective clients are looking for.

I like your blog. Its very good one and the signature you have added here is also very smart. One probs I have found that three articles are almost same to each other.

So Carry on with blogging and do not make your blog clumsy with same type of articles.

    Cheers !

I understand you have only one keyword phrase repeated three times. Is that correct?
If yes, then you are spamming. Robot count all, in text and links.
    I would suggest remove few.
Add at least 4 other keywords from your content.

Don't create many low quality keywords to your blog in order for it to increase its rank on google.

When I first started with IM a few months ago, I did not fully understand what keywords meant, exactly. I was using the Platinum SEO plugin for most of my sites. It is good, I like it, but I did not quite understand how I should be using my keywords. I was using too many, more like the tags a post should have, rather than keywords.

Then I started a new site and tried some different plugins on it. I used the Yoast SEO plugin, and that showed me if I was putting my keywords in the proper places by giving me a green yes or a red no. Made it pretty obvious to see if I had the proper use of the keyword in the title, H1 tag, content, and Meta descriptions.

So I would say that the Yoast SEO plugin started training me how to use my keywords properly.

Have you done searching for the right keyword? Did you create a high quality content? These are just some questions that i would like to know. If not, then you have to search a right keyword. Then create an article that is high quality if not high just good enough to catch visitors.

just optimizing your page won't rank you top 3 in google. You have to be activley promoting your blog and building relevant backlinks daily. the amount you have to build daily is based on how many the competition is building a day.

one of my top blogs gets around 10,000 backlinks a month and still goes from the top 5 in google all the way down to spots 9 and 10

it's a never ending battle seo. whoever can build the most backlinks and whoever has the best on page will win everytime.
