Credit-based Shopping Cart?

I would like to setup a system where clients can purchase credits and redeem for services, goods or subscriptions (for recurring services). Similar to envato network sites or istockimages, the client would get discounts for bulk credit purchases (the reason for credits vs cash)

Does anyone know of a solution?

Someone must know of some way (besides coding from scratch) to sell products/services via purchased "credits"?

I've seen a few SEO companies use this to sell services a la carte.

I'd appreciate any help you developers could share

It sounds like ShopperPress does this, - Wordpress Shopping Cart They have a demo you can try out.
I've done some work in OpenCart CMS and have noticed options for credits so maybe this CMS supports it out of the box.

  • I don't know of a solution from a service provider or plugin. Coding a custom solution would be fairly easy. Figure out your different tiers for purchasing the credits. Think of it along the lines that you are selling credits. Once a user has the credits he can then trade those for different services or merchandise. It will be the same for all users.

Its better to use 2CO in my opinion. I got a friend who is using avantgate and he is really happy with the service.
But I think 2CO is the best.
