Hey guys,

Just a quick one.. I started out in affiliate marketing a couple of months back, and to date haven't made a dime (that's a lie, I've made a tiny amount on Adsense and MaxBounty - but that's not what I'm here for, I'm here for Clickbank!). You probably won't be surprised, just another n00bie with no sales. What's particularly annoying for me is the fact two of my sites are already getting 200-500 hits per day, with purely organic traffic - and despite them having 7,000+ hits in total, there have been no conversions.

I'm inclined to believe it's the niche I'm promoting, but before I write them off altogether, I want to get some eye catching banners designed. That's what sets everyone else apart at the moment I think. My site has poor graphics, what I need are some cool graphics I can use to promote the Clickbank products (obviously as well as the reviews I've posted). A jaw dropping optin graphic would be nice alse.

Now I have 3 sites that I need this doing for - and I've tried looking in the Warriors for hire section, but I can't see anyone who offers this type of work. It's mostly copy writers and logo designers. I did try emailing some logo designers but to no avail.

Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank in advance..

Nick

  • You might try asking some of the logo designers if they would do it for you. I would bet at least some of them would. Logos are probably just their specialty and marketing focus, but they're not that different from a banner.

Check out some of the work bid sites like scriptlance.

Also, be careful not to confuse hits with visits. There's a big difference. Specifically, you want to focus in on "unique visits" as your true measure of traffic.

As long as your site is not damn ugly, you don't need cool graphic to make sales. Seriously tho.

If you have had 7,000 visitors and no sales I would bet it's not the graphics that are your problem...

Before you go rushing off to get some graphics created, you need to seriously look at why you aren't getting any conversions. I can almost guarantee you that it isn't bad graphics that's the main cause.

What sort of click through rate are you getting?

What type of text/graphical links do you currently have?

Are you confusing hits for unique visitors? (as already pointed out, there's a massive difference between the two)

What type of product are you promoting?

Try Fiverr, there are plenty of people offering to do what you're looking for.

I agree with WillR. If you're not getting any conversions after 7000 visitors, I don't think your current (or lack of) graphics are the problem. Graphics can help enhance content, and they might help increase conversion rates, but I doubt very much that they will take a 0% conversion rate and turn it into a 5% conversion rate, or even a 1% conversion rate.

Something is clearly not working. I'm doubtful that it's the graphics. Really doubtful. Before spending money on graphics, I would take a hard look at everything else on the page.

Once you get the site converting, then look at doing something with the graphics to see if they might help boost conversions. But, if the site is not converting at all, don't spend money on something that is likely not the cause.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.
