Affiliate Contest Ideas?

Hi there,

I would like some inspiration please in affiliate contest ideas....I want to create a real buzz about my affiliate program and get more affiliates promoting it.

I'd appreciate your feedback regarding affiliate contest ideas such as

prizes

length of contest

affiliate tools

publicity

etc

    You can do prizes for leads and prizes for sales. Most people do the latest gadgets (ipods, wii, etc).

    Cash always works too. Are you planning a large launch or just building up the buzz gradually?

    Hi Colleen,

    The most common one is cash. I guess this is why we sell other peoples products, to make money. Extra money is always a good incentive.

    Another idea is the newest gadget.

    Offer cash as already stated, this can draw a lot of affiliates to your program, but do make sure you have all the tools that are necessary for them to promote you like crazy. I don't remember who it was but I think last year or the year before, maybe it was John Reese, he gave a car away to his top affiliate.

    I have a couple of good idea's

    First maybe you can offer the affiliate who makes the most sales 100% affiliate commissions of all the member's he gets to join during the contest.

    For example say your product cost 50 dollars right now your offering 75% commission and the person makes 20 sales during the contest. So he/she makes 750 dollars but since they won they get the remaining 250.

      Thanks everyone for the feedback.....obviously cash is a big draw card by the sounds of it.

      I live in Australia so would that make it difficulty with buying gadgets for worldwide use etc?

      I particularly like the idea of the person who wins gets 100 percent commissions or something like that too.

      How long should the affiliate contest run for??

      I'd also like to provide something for at least everyone who participates too.

        Probably 2 weeks - a month would be good

        Or another variation of my idea

        Instead of the person getting 100% of there commissions they could get 90% commissions for life this way it makes it so they will want to continue promoting your product.

    Cash is king. So offer good cash prizes.
    Also mention that you'll announce the winner of the affiliate contest to everyone on your list. Interview the winner and distribute the recording giving them free publicity.
