Ridiculous Banned by adsense!

For those new in trying adsense, here's my experience... started adsense in late april. got about 10 sites... make total about $1-3 per day. low traffic.. no fraudulent clicks or paid traffic etc... just normal SERP ranking... got banned today and of course taking all the earnings along... as usual the standard reasons given... appealed but have not much hope... bad lesson for me and I still dun know what happenned... luckily just started and dun have much earnings in it about $60 but thats thru hard and honest work...

Great advice. But I don't understand why Google shut down adsence accounts. Sounds like the same story with paypal.

The lack of warnings or feedback on Gs part seems so unprofessional to me.

Didn't the late 2009 purge involve some 15,000-20,000 affiliates, some big spenders?

Jason Moffett includes in his sales text the story of being banned after sending 15 clicks to the Rich Jerk.

Most bannings are apparently done by an automated criteria, heavily dependant on the products being promoted. Perhaps the lack of warnings or specifics on which ads were at fault is to keep the criteria secret and hard to game.

Google thinks they are big enuf to squeeze anyone and sadly they are big and there's nothing we can do about it.

Adsense is something I do on the sideline but it's something I'm really considering scaling up as I can see how easy it is to make money with it.

But this is what really scares me. I don't like the idea spending the time and money only to find Google deactivates your account.

What I'd recommend if you want to make money with Adsense is use it as supplement and not as your main income as you don't want to build your entire business around another business

What invalid activity? its not like i have thousands of visitors per day... just a couple of visitors here and there to the normal micro niche sites...

    Pff, i feel you man!

Working hard then losing everything is defiantly not a lot of fun,

Don't lose hope, someday you will look back and remember this event and laugh ... trust me I've been there lol

Who said that you didn't get paid, you did, you earned something that no ebook or video course or coaching or anyone can give you, which is experience .

Keep it up and try something else and forget adsense, at least for the current time because you feel bad about it .

There is tons of potential in amazon sites, and there is plenty of things that you can do with clickbank as well and don't forget CPA networks! screw adsense non sense man

    Good luck,
    Hamza.

I don't believe google makes up rules as they go along but they do have red flags that pop up especially for new accounts that do certain things.

I don't know what kind of sites you have but I can see on this forum where you may have purchased ready made sites and you were looking into auto-backlinking services and auto-posting possibilities.

Nothing wrong with buying sites - but if the sites were sold to more than one person you need to change the content to make them unique.

Backlinking services are OK to some extent but not a great idea for a brand new site with a new adsense account.

If you have a new adsense account and new websites as well, best to build slowly and add links slowly so you don't appear to be trying to "game" the system to "get clicks".

I know it doesn't seem fair but everything google does is aimed at placing ads on sites that will bring good results for the advertisers who pay for the ads. Without those advertisers, there is no adsense.

Does google make mistakes when banning accounts? Sure, they do. They will err on the side of protecting the advertisers and sometimes this can hurt a publisher.

        kay

P.S. If this thread disappears it's because it should have been posted in the adsense section

Google will often shut down adsense accounts that they believe are used to monetize crappy or sub-standard content. Make sure you have at least one large site that's NOT just another MFA, and they're more likely to keep you.

Hard to say why without knowing the content of those 10 sites. If Google considered them spam sites or thin affiliate content, that could be why.

I may have come close to disaster with Google AdSense recently. Or, I may have been at risk for even longer than I knew.

It all started when I noticed some odd links in the WordPress blog section of my WordPress dashboard. I didn't think much of it at the time.

A few days later, I saw some similar odd links on a white screen when I was trying to load some new plugins. (The white screen vanished when I hit refresh.)

That kept nagging at me, in the back of my mind. What was it? Where did those links come from?

I did a site search at Google using one of the odd phrases I'd noticed among the links, followed by "site:my domain name"

My jaw dropped. I saw page after page with spam links, on one of my personal websites.

I went to my website, clicked on a page, and then clicked View > Page Source.

At the foot of the page I saw over 100 spammy links. That's what Google was seeing, too.

I hastily checked several other websites I own. Same problem. Yikes!

I consider myself very lucky that my only problem was plummeting ranking at Google.

Several days -- and lots of reading about WP security and plugins -- I contacted my hosting service. Overnight, they fixed the problem.

It was what's called an SQL injection. The hack occurred because I had a few old, neglected WordPress sites on that same server. Someone gained access to my databases (MySQL) via the security gaps in those old WP installs.

The WP sites are all current, and most have security software on them now. I've also removed plugins that had security risks built into them.

My point is: To Google, I could have looked like the worst spammer. I don't make huge money from AdSense, but I'd be upset if I lost that.

However, if I hadn't innocently stumbled onto those links on my WP dashboard, I still wouldn't know how awful I looked to the search engines. And, if anything worse (than dropping from page one at Google to page 47) had happened, I'd have been distraught.

I lucked out. I know it.

Moral of the story: Keep your website software current. Keep your files secure. Double-check a few pages (View > Page Source) regularly to be sure you look as good to search engines as the visual appearance of your webpages.

^^ yeah so they basically make their rules up as they go along You cannot build a business that can be wiped away in a flash and you have no rights at all. It's like building castle on quick sand.

Google/Ebay/Paypal+ others are so big they have lost touch with fairness. The end is usually near when this happens

I think that building a business around something that is so unpredictable does not make sense. On one hand, I have read about people who makes tons of money with adsense and on the other I have read an equal number of sad stories about adsense with many coming from established publishers who have their bread and butter wiped off just like that. Well, considered I learn a lesson early on and moved on rather than having to wake up one day after having built up a sizeable income to have them tell me " sorry that's it for you..."

daddykool:- thks for the suggestions, will definitely consider that...
