Very nice tool. I've a writer friend that use the pomodoro timer and he told me it is very effective. However, I tend to think 25 minutes is not enough to get something done.

I've learned from Eben Pagan that it takes about 20 minutes to get inside your work so if you take a break after 25 minutes, you are wasting a lot of your "working velocity".

I don't know much about the pomodoro, but I've used the 50 mins / break 10 mins / 50 mins / break 10 mins / 30 mins complete disconnection from the computer world and then I come back. For long tasks, I've found this to be very effective.

Thank you for sharing this software tho, I'll check it tonight

Yep, everybody works differently. This tool allows you to change the overall time and the interval time

Just to clarify, I have nothing to do with this app - just thought it was useful!

I totally agree with you. I work in 30/60/90 minute blocks with 10-25 minutes of rest/recovery. I have kitchen timers throughout my entire office and house. It's incredible what you can get done when you remove all distractions and actually focus!

An another thread someone mentioned another free timer, The Focus Master at Stay Focused - Make More Money! It even comes with a manual.

You can set up multiple timers and even have each timer trip the next one. There is a place to put all of your tasks and notes.

You can set up multiple timers in multiple groups.....don't ask me to explain. I just got it and am still figuring how it works. I did print th manual.

Timer times are preset at 5, 15 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 and 180 minutes OR you can adjust each time to your own increment; i.e. 3,12, 24 etc minutes.

VERY cool! I like this idea much better than setting a regular timer... and I keep forgetting to reset the time, anyway!

I try to not become too dependant on tools such as these
due to the fact that discipline is involved when trying to be
successful with your work. If you cannot stay disciplined, then
there definitely will be a loophole in your business.

Don't get me wrong - I find these tools of use a lot, but don't
    become dependant on them.

    My 0.2 Cents
