Can Anyone Give Me A Review Of My Blog?

Hey guys,
I started a blog January of 2011. I think I've mad a huge turn around in it's appearance and performance since i joined this forum. I have gotten a lot of suggestions about it's look when i posted it up on here the first time, i was thankful for all of them and made some instant changes to it. now my blog looks completely different and i think its much better than what it looks like before.

So i want to know what you guys think of its current look.

I am a newbie thus i don't know too much about how to make websites/blogs look very appealing. This is a learning process for me and with that said, your suggestions will be very much appreciated.

    Hey, a nice improvement. I like the new minimalist design. The logo looks too busy with the slogon underneath though in my opinion. I'd remove the slogan and stick under the red bar so it stands out more and you logo is minimal and clean like the rest of the site.

    You have obviously put a lot of work into it and it looks like an eHow or About type site.
    (They are very successful of course)

    It looks a little too busy for me and I found it hard to catch the headings to see what it was about.

    Honestly, it's not a clean site. It's not a site that I would return to no matter how good the content is. Is this your actual blog or is this more automated income (autoblog)? If it was an autoblog it's acceptable, but if it's a personal blog the branding is really off because it's messy. Good luck

    Huge difference!

    Your slogan icon/graphic at the top is a bit difficult to read. I'm not sure if it is the color or the shadowing. I had to stop and look at it very carefully to read the words.

    You want the truth? It's all over the place. Yes, it looks okay but what is it for? It's been mentioned you need a compelling headline, something to capture the reader's attention. You need that and then some.

    The main issue is that you need to decide what you're doing with it. You've got ads everywhere. Is this an adsense site? You've got an optin box on the side. Is it a lead capture page? Are you selling something? The way it's set up it's hard to tell.

    My guess is that it's a site designed to host ads. If that's the purpose, it's only okay. Why? There are far too many giving the page a crowed look and some are flashing which is distracting.

    Your content is decent but I noticed quite a few errors. People will be somewhat forgiving of that but when there's too much, they'll leave. Get someone to proofread your stuff before you post it or use a grammar/spell check program while writing.

    I can see you've put a lot of work into this. If it's an optin page you haven't given anyone a compelling reason to sign up for your "updates." Updates on what? Get rid of some of the ads and write a compelling paragraph or two on why people need to hear from you outside of the site. Offer a gift. People are far more selective for signing up for information than in the past, and again, you haven't given them a good reason to sign up.

    You've made a good start, now start making the fine adjustments and you'll have something. Good luck.

    The pop up page "pops up" far too quickly.

    But a great improvement compared to the previous layout.

    Definitely an improvement! It does look a little too busy though, as mentioned in another reply.

    I did notice some grammar errors, however. If you want me to point you to them, send me a PM with your email address (my post count is too low) rather than me highlighting it on the thread.

      Nice blog - the pop-up happens too fast for me and put me off, but that could be just my taste.

    Looks good. A bit ad heavy for me.

    No that I don't like ads, just a lot of competition on that page. I would dump anything that doesn't make you any real money - the other offers will more than make up for it.

      I agree, I think reducing the ads would make your blog look cleaner and more professional. I think the white background works really well.

    It's nice! I do agree though that it's a bit scattered. It's a lot of information to take in at once. It would be better if you make different headings as you have the 'contact us' and 'site map'. But definetely a huge difference from the old blog and overall, very nice.

    I think it's a bit busy as well as everyone else is saying. BUT! What turns me off on sites are ones that look too CORPORATE. It has a feel of being a site run by scammy business guys in suits. I guess because you have that pic of 3 guys in suits.

    Personally I try to limit advertising to take up less than 1/4 of each page so that it does not come across as too spammy or busy

    It looks pretty good, and seems to have some nice content. The only suggestion I have is more of an aesthetic one - the left side seems really empty, with everything cluttered on the right side.
