What's The Average Time Spent On Your Salespage?

I am curious to know the average time users spend on your salespage. I know the most important metric is conversion percentage but I reckon there is a high correlation between the time spent on site and conversions.

Interested in hearing your responses.

as far as i am concern.. the time i spend on any salespage depends on attention grabing headline. and social proof and results the person has got from product he is selling.beautiful and attractive design is also an important factor..

You would be surprised to learn that time spent on site and conversions do not always correlate in the way that you might think.

In fact, often the LESS time someone spends on your site the better...it can mean you have a tight sales funnel and get them to take action without any lolly-gagging and hums and haws.

However this all changes from site to site, and you really need to do split-testing on each of your site and in each of your niches to get a concrete answer to your question.

I agree with Drew on this one.

You want the visitors in, hooked, and out as a new customer.

You don't want them mulling over the purchase.

You want a sales letter that converts and leaves no room for hesitation or resistance on the part of the customer.

Ideally you want to create an emotional and exciting experience for the visitor so it's a snap sale and the sales funnel continues to the next step.

Sell them, Get them on the list, repeat the process, profit.

I spent an hour and a half writing and formatting my last sales letter for a WSO...

Normal doesn't that me that long, but the last one is the highest converting one yet...

But I still prefer to hire it out when possible, lol. I'm no copywriter for sure
