is this site worth $1200

I am putting together a website package, but the site is brand new, I took my own personal time doing the marketing, and writing a full month worth of press releases so the buyer can get traffic while there waiting for there rankings, ( I am also still going to do the SEO for who ever buys it...) The domain is a keyword targeted domain and the keyword gets nearly 20k searches per month, even though this website is fresh, would you pay $1200 for it with all the content, and press releases packed in it. (there is 10 original articles on this site, and a total of 25 original press releases)

I know most people wouldn't sell a new package for this much, but then again they just slap some PLR together lol.

I'm not looking for an offer for it, Hypothetically would you pay $1200 for a site that offers this value.

It depends on the quality of the content and press releases and the potential to make money. It also depends on the niche, and I really think it will come down to finding a buyer interested in that niche who is willing to pay that amount. I do think you have a good idea though. I'm not saying it's not worth $1200, but I'm not saying it is - I honestly have no idea. Just my .02.

35 pieces of content - about $200 from a permanent Filipino outsourcer (assuming press releases are typically short and take less time for them to write).
    New domain - $10
Bonus for exact match - $50. If you are mixing up broad match traffic with local exact match (later counts more), then take off that $50.
Bonus for putting site together - $50.

Value of traffic - $0 (site is not proven so we would have to take a gamble on you getting the SEO right).

About $400 for a brand spanking new site that is not getting traffic.

No ... 10 posts is nothing. Get the traffic and serps position and maybe some revenue first and then sell it if you want to get a good price for it. As it is, it's just another startup.

Buyers are the only that worth your website; you need to attract more targeted customers to worth your site more.

in my opinion it doesn't matter if your website is new or old in the net. The most thing that valuate your website is how money you make by them.

I think you'll find it hard to sell a brand new site for that amount, or even half that amount, unfortunately.

It's great you're adding extras, but people really lap up traffic and earnings. If you don't have them then you can expect usually a few hundred dollars based on what's going on at Flippa, even though you're including those extras.

Have a look at Flippa and keep an eye on what's selling. Because, although you're taking time to create those extras, you may find that buyers are looking for other things when buying a site. The research you do will let you know what is selling, and you can create your package based around what's in demand.

It's very hard to sell a brand new website for that kind of money, however it's not impossible.

You just need to find a buyer who really wants to enter that specific niche.

Another good way to go around it is to offer it to a large competitor. This may sound silly but some people have hundreds of thousands at their disposale. If they look at your website and consider it a threat there's a good chance they will place an offer.

Please note: your website has got to look very smart and have some great content to make them instrested.

People will pay A LOT more for a site that has some revenue. Build it, get revenue for a month or 2, then sell it.

A business making no money is worth only the value of its reusable assets.

Which in this case, is about $7 for the domain and whatever the content is worth. 10 articles and "press releases" is not worth much.

$50 is more like it and even that is on the high side.

Now if you ran it for 6-12 months, added more content, and demonstrated that it was making money, you could sell it. For $1200 I think most people would want something that was throwing off $100/month.
