e-mail salesletter, landing page, fulfillment- advice needed

Warriors- this is new to me, so I need some advice on how to best structure this.

I've created a product/service (digital) to sell, and am harvesting e-mail addresses from Craigslist to market to.

This is how I envision the process:
1. I will send a sales letter to each e-mail address
2. The sales letter will direct them to a landing page if they want more information or want to order
3. The landing page will need some sort of order-taking or order-fulfillment module.

What's the best way to set all this up? Is there an all-in-one program that does it all?

Do I need an autoresponder?

Thanks

You can use ejunkie for product fulfillment and you will need an autoresponder like Aweber to get your list set up. You will also need a payment processor such as PayPal to process your payments.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I'm already setup with paypal for payment processing.
My question regarding the autoresponder is this: is it really necessary? The program I am using to harvest e-mail addresses from Craigslist also has a built-in mailer that's quite sophisticated. So what benefit would the autoresponder provide? Thanks
