To All Newbies: Making Money Online Is Possible!

I'm a newbie (just look at my post count :-). For months I thought that making money online was a scam. Honestly, I bought Google Cash, Google Nemesis, Google Massacre, ... damn, I bought every guru book on the market (well, not really, but I bought a lot of them).

I learned a lot about Google Adwords from Howie Jacobson (his book Google Adwords for Dummies is a phenomenal book) and I had the best performing campaigns. CTR went through the roof and my CPC was really great. However, at that time, I didn't have a clue about conversion. So, there I was, having a great campaign but no conversions (I was promoting low-priced Amazon offers with PPC, go figure how stupid I was). I still recommend Howie's book though, especially if you have some experience already.

In the meantime I bought those guru books I mentioned before. Lost some money on PPC and couldn't manage to make money online.

Finally, I learned to know Griz (Make Money Online for Beginners), Vic (Make Money Online Blog) and Court (How To Make Money Online). A couple of great guys creating informative post on making money online. No fluff, just the basics. Getting backlinks,getting backlinks and, eh, getting backlinks :-)

Since November I started making money and last week I received my first check from Ebay (75 euros) and I am awaiting some more checks from Amazon and Google adsense (totalling about $150).

Is it much money? No, it's not. It's not that important though for me. I make decent money with my day job (I'm an IT project manager). For me, it was more of an experiment to see if it was possible to make money on the internet. And yes it is possible and it's so easy to scale.

I personnaly hate posts of newbies bragging about how they made money and don't include a system, so let me tell you my system:

1. Go to freshdrop.net and find yourself an aged domain with backlinks
2. Install a wordpress site on it
3. Create a couple of posts (5-10) in the niche of your domain
4. Use the free phpbay plugin to add Ebay auctions to your site
5. That's it. You might do some social bookmarking and stuff. But if you have an old domain with some backlinks you don't even need it.

This is such a simple system and it can make your $25-$50 per month easily.

If you want it a little more advanced, you should look at article marketing, youtube marketing, CPA, etc ... There's a lot of great stuff on the Warrior Forum. Some WSO's you should definitely check out are the ones from Jeremy Kelsall (his 30-day coaching program is so cheap and so good, it's almost unbelievable). Just search his name on the forum.

Today I signed up for the Private Warrior Forum and I must say it's a steal ($37 for lifetime membership). Solid content (had a few "aha erlebnissen").
