Wordpress query - Can I display only specific posts?

Hello!

I would like to know whether it is possible to only display specific posts on my blog. The posts that I don't want to appear on the front page, could be placed in the categories section only.

Yes can be done in 10 different ways through WP Query and Query Posts, the link above ^^

You can make a static page.
You can STICK a single post.

Thsi way any new post/page will not show as frontpage.
