I just tried Animoto for the first time - AWESOME! Created a 30 second video. Now I want to try TubeMogul to distribute it. There doesn't seem to be a way to save the short Animoto file, though, so I can upload it to TubeMogul. But maybe I'm misunderstanding something, or there's a workaround (other than paying for the full version just yet.) Thanks! |

Hi Mate, All you have to do is download the program "Orbit Downloader" and you can download the file from Animoto. Then you can redistribute it!

I should check the terms and conditions. I believe that you have to pay for the membership to be able to download and redistribute the video. Although there are ways to extract the video file this would essentially be stealing it.

THANK YOU! Now I just have to figure out what exactly the URL is, you can embed it and distribute it to YouTube directly from Animoto, just not real obvious where the URL is...

momwow: Fellow Warrior and head chef Kevin Riley has a recipe on using Animoto to make super-fast videos and distributing them to video sharing sites. Me thinks that is is just what you need. I use it myself and high recommend it. You can contact him via this forum to get more info. Check him out. I use the DownloadHelper plug in for Firefox to snag my videos, but I am always open for some new toy. Checking out Orbit Downloader now. Thanks for the tip, Michael! To your continued success, Cal |

Just pay for your Animoto account (its cheap) and you can download the video and then use anything you want to distribute it.

Animoto is $99 to $249 - too much for just one use, not sure if/how I'll use it more than that, Josh.

I can just use Animoto to export to YouTube directly, as is designed, just figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and try TubeMogul at the same time. Can't figure out where in Animoto to find the exact URL to try downloading with Orbit Downloader.

Huh, Kevin is not that bad. You make him sound like some kind of ogre... Well, anyway, here is the link to his quick blog recipe: Recipe For Quick And Easy Production Of Hot Promo Videos It is only $14.95 and well worth much more than that. As Josh said above, just get an all access pass for $30.00/year and lets you download your videos straight from Animoto. That is the ticket to ride. As far as I know, the basic account holds your videos hostage. HTH Any more questions or if I made everything as clear as mud, just PM me. Cal |

You want a great tip? Pay the $3 to make your video, send it to your email, remix it 10-20 times. That's 20 videos for $3. Watermark then Tubemogul. Good luck!

Wow, this is a tip! Where can we get videos created for $3? Are they of good quality? And how do we remix the video? What software should we use to remix them? Links please...

For the Animoto users on here; Do you leave the Animoto logo at the end of the video in tact? If no, has there been any repercussions? I don't understand why they'd expect people paying for a commercial account to leave their logo on the videos.. |

Momwow - the price you are quoting is for the business package. There is a basic package available that is $30 per year (search Google for a $5 animoto coupon - I got in for $25). The main difference is that in the basic the videos are not high resolution and cannot be burned to dvd. The animoto logo is a bit bigger on these also. Pat Jackson/Momwow - I use the basic and save them to my pc, use Windows Movie Maker to edit out the animoto logo at the end and swap in a text screen instead to finish the movie with when it stops. I then use Tubemogul to distribute it. It works pretty well so far! As long as you are not viewing the videos in a large size it isn't too bad. I am thinking of purchasing the business account for 3 months to try as I have some clients I may want high resolution for though. Hope that helps a bit, Jason |
