40 Order Form Impressions, No Sales???

Here are statistics for one popular clickbank product:

Acne No More
1,356 hops
20 Order Form Impressions
9 Order form submit count
9 Sales

VS

SatelliteDirect
317 hops
40 Order Form Impressions (twice as above!)
1 Order form submit count
ZERO Sales!

Wonder why this is happening for satellitedirect despite the fact that it had 2X more order form impressions than Acne no more.

The acne no more product was advertised in an acne info site, while the satellite direct was advertised in a football site.

Would appreciate any comments from warriors!

Somebody going to an Acne info site often has the intention to get rid of the problem. That means these people tend to buy stuff.

People that go to a football site have sometimes the intention to watch football, sometimes they just want to read about football. But they usually do not have a problem to solve and if you tell them about satellitedirect they might be curious enough to click but very unlikely to buy.

It could be a case of the customer clicking through to see the cost of the product if it is not listed on the sales page.

    Probably indicative of desperation.

For those wanting to rid themselves of acne, they need a SOLUTION, right now. Theyre frustrated and most likely desperate.

As for satellite tv, well to me, thats a bit of a "nicety", and the level of desperation is obviously quite different.

Then again, I could be completely wrong. Could be a number of various reasons.

Ramone is spot on, no pun intended, its all about desperate buyers, people suffering from whatever the malady may be are a lot more desperate and looking to solve their problem yesterday as opposed to SD type buyers.

Hence "problem" niches being evergreen. Don't throw in the towel on the SD, there could be other variables and you need to tweak+test more but from my experience you are always going to close the sale with the desperate buyer first

Simple - People are more worried about them looking good then being entertained in some particular form!
Moreover a football site is not a best place fro advertising satellite TV, I guess. They will be clickers and not buyers.

    Are these your products?
In Not, then concentrate on what sells..

Selling Software can be hard, than selling an INFO Solution Product..
especially if the software doesn't have a TRIAL period..

Look at the Gaming Niche for example.. most games sell because the advertise.. they are free.. and of course to lift the limitations.. when the user has already become a fan.. they they can pay..

Always divide your products into 3:
    - Information
    - Entertainement
    - Community

The aprroach for selling each category is different

      Hmmm..interesting.

So in this particular case...where according to me the product is under entertainment, what will you suggest about the approach that one should apply? Also are these three categories for software only or for any thing?

You don't have enough traffic. Also you need to make sure your traffic is interested in your offer and your LP is optimized.

Like many people in this thread said it. Buyer in acne niche are far more desperate to get rid of the problem and thus pay for solution.

If you're referring to this site: Watch online TV on Your PC with SatelliteDirect - Over 3,500 HD Channels Available 24/7

It's probably a result of the site design and how the "download now" buttons stick out more than anything else on the page...

People arrive at the site, browse for a second, and click on the download now button without paying attention to other things on the page.

I think it's because you are helping solve a problem for the product that you are getting the conversions for.

With the football visitors, I don't think right now is football season for 1, and for 2 I don't think you can watch the games on satellite direct anyway.

So in this instance, you are not helping to fill any need, hence 0 sales.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers!

I think you answered your own question. People visiting an Acne site probably have acne and want a solution.

People watching football are probably men & probably don't have acne or don't care about it.

You must advertise to your target market.
