Hello warriors.

I am thinking of creating an eBook about "Weight Loss". As I know, most of people are doing same, do you think that my book is gonna be sold? because there are lots of them?

You must write a very helpful book and need a great website. Yes, then you can sell your ebook. There are enough of people how have problems with weight.

It sounds like a smartass joke, but this is the only reliable answer based on the info you've given.

Another e-book on Weight Loss? Wow, it's about time, where do I sign? Not.

The truth is that if you find the right group of people (and please don't say 'people who want to lose weight') with the right message, some percentage of them will buy.

You need to target your sales message to specific groups. You have to approach a twenty-something trying to lose five pounds to fit in her mother's bridal gown differently than you would a fifty-something staring heart surgery in the eye unless he sheds fifty pounds.

Not that some of the same information wouldn't be relevant, but the mindsets are completely different. Work on pinpointing your position in the marketplace, and it becomes a matter of traffic and conversion.

        ^^^^ This - exactly.

Bear in mind that it's one of the most competitive markets in the whole of IM, and that some of your direct competitors are huge businesses with 6/7-figure turnovers, 4/5-figure daily PPC advertising budgets, and so on. To have any realistic chances of success, you have to pinpoint your position in the marketplace, and attract the right traffic.

That is the best response so far! This is a common problem. "How much of my product will I sell?" First of all what product exactly? How much are you charging? Do you have a follow up system with killer follow up letters? Do you have a busy blog or community around the subject? Does your product offer real value that other products that you are competing with do not have? These are just a few questions to ask yourself.

So can you advice me something else?

From what i have to start selling if not weight loss?

I think the most important question to ask yourself is how am I providing unique value? Try to think like a customer. Why would you buy this product. Testimonails work great. And do not forget the follow up system. People will not buy right away. You need to have an autoresponder system which will keep bringing them back to your site.

It appears English is not your native language, which may actually be to your advantage. Promoting to specific language/cultural groups will often encounter far less competition. Select groups also will tend to pay much more for products specific to them. For example, Asian weight loss diet is enjoying phenomenal success and high ranking in the SERPs not just for that demographic but is also getting a lot of attention by others now.

              Expanding on this...

Why would I, as a customer, buy your product over every other option available to me, including buying nothing at all?

In this market (it's not a niche, it's a huge market made up of many smaller niches), your competition isn't just the other weight loss ebooks on Clickbank. Not just the sellers that have websites and autoresponders. Your competition is found at Amazon and other booksellers, in many different magazines (online and off), on TV (including local newscasts), selling food plans (think Weight Watcher, Jenny Craig, etc.).

You can't try to sell your ebook to "everyone" and hope to reach anyone that cares. You can get generic weight loss advice on sites like Web MD, and many non-profits like the American Heart Association.

Before you spend time writing a product, building a website and trying to make sales, spend time creating a profile of the exact kind of person who will benefit from having your specific product and what those benefits are.

Here's a blatant plug. Go to Paul Myers' TalkBiz News site, sign up for his newsletter, and download the free "Need to Know" ebook he offers as a signup bonus. It will save you a lot of wasted energy and heartache.

If I may say so, I think this is a better question that the ones that started off the thread.

It depends partly on how you're going to sell whatever it is - how you're going to attract traffic. For example, if you're going to try article marketing, it needs to be something you can write about.

The best things to sell are things that (a) people already want to buy (so you don't need to persuade them for ever), and (b) people want to buy quickly because they see them as a possible solution to a pressing problem, and (c) things that not too many other people are selling (so that the competition doesn't kill you, and the "entry-barriers" to the business aren't set too high for you).

It's a tricky balance, because the third of those considerations is mismatched with the first two.

And of course it depends on whether you want to be a vendor or an affiliate, because if you want to be an affiliate, you have to choose from what's already available in the market and can't create something entirely new of your own. For myself, I'm an affiliate only (for now) and I aim to sell things - mostly but not entirely from Clickbank - for which there isn't overwhelming competition ... because I like a fast start when I start off a project, and I've successfully built up 8 separate, unrelated niches that way, which I think also minimises some of my risks. Being an affiliate has many advantages over being a vendor, in my opinion. It's easy to switch products relatively quickly, easy to be flexible, easy to avoid customer service altogether, and so on. One develops, at low risk, a secure, asset-based (niche sites and lists) business free from most of the problems which vendors have. Some will disagree.

Yes, this one I can do. I already ordered a website and design of it is awesome. I put there some stuff like some applications. But i don't know, maybe I will cost over 300$ for this website creation and my product (eBook) and after there will be maximum 10 sales... this is what i am afraid mostly

It`s not the website that will bring you money, it`s promoting, finding partners.. There are many weight loss products on clickbank that have really strange and not good looking website but they sell very well..

$300 is not much... How much will your product cost? How much sites the book will have?

given enough targeted traffic pushed to your offer, you can aspect about 1% conversion - although it can be worse or slightly better, depending on your offer.

I think that everyone who wanted to lose their weight, they bought all ebooks... And i late. How to make, so, my product will see everyone?

I don't think you should do it unless you have a great launch that offers attractive incentive for the affiliates, and enough quality content for the buyers.

The product like mentioned here, have to be targeted extremely well towards a targeted audience without proper keywords, and research this is not possible. I would advise to write the ebook and spend the 300 and see what happens.

This can't be a that bad if the book doesn't sell, just simply swap ebooks with another high converting clickbank product to compensate for the lack of sales.

    Anyways good luck.

If you think you're actually going to do all that tonight you are either
a total genius who needs no outside advice or you will fail miserably
because you don't know the first thing about what it really takes to flesh
out a successful product launch and promotion.

Care to share some tips on how he's supposed to go about doing it? I suppose he's not saying he'll complete everything in one sitting but that's just to tell us he's gonna take action. Like starting from now.

As long as the product is full of great value you shouldnt have a problem. Great value will result in less refunds and an increased likely hood of REPEAT buyers. Thats key.

    Take Care,
    Josh

The harder your competition, the harder you'll have to work, unless you have a truly innovative strategy that will put you over the top with minimal energy input.

If you don't have this edge, then find a niche with less competition and thus more opportunity to apply more common marketing strategies.

    That's my opinion at least.

Its a difficult question that you have asked us.

Well I basically don,t know that your ebook will be sold or not? But I can pray to almighty for your success.

You need to make you ebbok a little different from others, like adding some attractive pictures, animated gif to draw attention or some video links so on.

    Best of luck
