Who has made money from buying a WSO?

Hi guys, just wanted to get feedback from anyone that's bought an WSO and as a direct result of buying it has made any money (decent money) I.e. $10k - $50k over a period of time.

Buying a WSO never made me a dime. It has always cost me money.

Implementing some things I learned or used from WSO's has added to my bottom line.

That seems to be the case most of the time, there is some quality stuff out there but hard to come by. I'm sure there are some on this forum that must have a reasonable amount. What line of IM do work in?

This is true. Purchasing anything is going to cost you money. The problem comes, for most, putting what you've purchased into action.

There could be the very, very, top, fabulous, 100% best program, course out there and you purchase it. If your the lazy type, or have a hard time following directions, or things are difficult for you, and I could go on and on, but you get the point. It's not going to work, and does that make the course the fault, or your laziness or incompetent to blame?

Sorry if I'm too blunt but that's how I am.

Most WSO's are good, provide good information and can make you money. FAR AND AWAY the largest problem people have with making money online is not their methods or strategies but rather the traffic component. You can make a beautiful x factor MFA site, or a killer deadbeat super affiliate site but if there is no one going to it, it doesn't matter.

Point is, most WSO's teach good info, but most people in general are bad at ranking sites or driving alternate methods of traffic so it doesn't matter. It is almost impossible for people who drive traffic *not* to make money.

I feel that WSO are offers that make money to the owners and never to us. The information, some times is good. Most of the time is the same information they just re-write it. Bottom line go and work and make your own online business. Run I real business, Online store, sell products or whatever. As much as we like I never trust offers that promise me to be a millionaire in 24 hours, or "you can quit your job in a week" Come on, use some common sense. I always find that a real solid business that requires you to actually work and no short cuts will make you money. disregards the promises. Saying that I fell into WSO as well. :-) but never made a dime.

Well dude the only piece of advice I can give is running an Internet business is just likeany other other business. It needs to be managed effectively and for those starting out need to understand that if they have never done business before they need to be educated in business.

Making money in 24 hours will never happen unless you are educated in the field of IM. There are ways but this not running a business at the end.

This is exactly right brotha! I actually just spoke to someone who banked $8k+ in 6 days after launching a WSO..it's lucrative for the person launching it but as far as the consumer goes (fellow Warriors) there can be the downside of crappy products. You live and you learn though, just because a product is bad doesn't mean it was a waste of money, you just found another way on how NOT to make money you know? cheers

You know, I very rarely purchase a WSO, as I'm busy "doing my own thing".

However, I did purchase a WSO awhile back and put the information inside to use...I ended up making a few thousand dollars the first month.

Now, I am 100% certain that many others purchased the same WSO, and made exactly ZERO dollars. Why? Because they didn't put the information to use, didn't follow through, gave up too easy, or came up with a million excuses why it wouldn't work for them, etc....

Truth is, there is a LOT of good information out there, you just have to put it to use. Take Action!

I have purchased many WSO's, more than I would like to admit to. I've made money from three and two out of the three changed the way I built my business online.

Those two were WSO's on how to:

Build Google News sites and build sites to sell on Flippa.

WSO's are EDUCATIONAL tools and its really no different than your local bookstore or the bookstore located on a college campus.

STOP LOOKING FOR THE EASY BUTTON. It doesn't exist. It never did. You're a fool to believe the hype.

IMO I think WSO's are (1) Good for extracting information only to further promote your business, and (2) a scam. So they have both benefits and downsides. For example; (1)I recently bought a WSO and found information that I can implement into my niche. (2) If a seller was making 10k a month, why would he or she be selling their wso for $10 bux only to have it be saturated?

.....This leads me to believe that their business, is making $10 bux off a wso (over 10, 50, 100, 1,000 buyers) as their pirmary business. They aint making **** and are only selling false hope imo

Sorry, but you are absolutely incorrect in that assumption. It has to do with creating another revenue stream (2 is better than 1), branding yourself, etc... lots of legit reasons. Look at Donald Trump for example. He has a marketing course, and many books. Do you think he needs the money from that marketing course, and those books? Absolutely not. It's just additional revenue streams, and another way to brand his name.

Donald Trump cant be compared to anyone on this thread. When dealing with small time sources of income, if something works why not scale up? Why reveal your source that makes xxx,xxx a year in exchange for $10 bux? IMO, it's bull**** and false. Similar to many situations in this world, selling false hope to consumers - is what sells. Whether it be "make money, immediate fixes for back, skin situations" or hell - even lottery tickets. Capitalizing on peoples desires is what sells, and this along imo is "their" primary source of income.

I guess we can agree to disagree :-)

My sister-in-law makes the best potato salad I have ever ate, she gave the recipe to my girlfriend at the time and you could hardly tell it was potato salad.....my point?

Two people can do the same thing and come out with different results. Personally, I have done ok with WSO. Maybe not in the way the seller thought it should but in the way it worked for me.

Not only that but if you get one thing that works for you then you have got your money's worth because you can use it in your other businesses.

Listen, many people are looking to make big bucks overnight, that's not going to happen! What can happen is to make some small bucks then repeat the process not only in the WSO business but your other businesses too.

And remember this...it is going to take time!

Charles, I love the potato salad reference, because if I lived to be 1,000, I could never make Sweetened Iced Tea like my mom, and she has given me her simple recipe several times.

My rule is if I see a WSO that can help me in the future, I buy it if the price is right.

There is always a money back guarantee, so I don't see the problem with supporting WF members who provide value and technical help.

I got one last night and I think that could do it for me.

But that's the usual feeling according to the reviews I read in that forum lol. There's a lot of excitement, like "omg this is so great and wonderful and worth eleventy billion dollars" but very few come back to give a cash amount.

Perhaps, once they start doing the WORK, they are on to the next easier, quicker thing?

I'll have to come back and post in six months, lol.

I've made money by implementing the strategies mentioned in several WSOs. But that's the key....I read the information in the WSOs, then followed that information. I actually DID something with the information I was presented with....so many people who buy WSOs don't follow through with taking action on them, and taking action is the only way you're going to make any money. WSOs are like internet marketing textbooks....you've got to study them, and then put what you learned into practice.

Have I made money on every single WSO I've purchased? No. But I haven't implemented the strategies in every single one. I read them all (or watch the videos). Some of them, I start to put into practice right away. Others, I set aside for projects for "later." I don't have time to work the systems in ALL the WSOs I've purchased! But I save them all, because each one I've purchased has had something of value in it that, even if I can't use it now, I can probably use later. I've never purchased one I didn't learn something from, and that makes it worth the price, because they've contributed to my internet marketing education.

        My thoughts exactly.

My income streams are those I've worked on myself not from "magic" information from some WSO for making 4k per day/week/month.

All information is valuable and very often it is possible to get some germ of an idea or information that can be used to further your own efforts.

The only time I did make a few k$ from a WSO was one I purchased so I could get some insight into Facebook. I could see straight away that the WSO was pointing people in the wrong direction and it did give me an idea which I pursued and I made around 8k$ in less than 2 weeks but I knew that it would not be particularly repeatable and the income plumeted to less than 50$ a week.

The WSO's I find most useful to myself are some of the good quality PLR which I can repurpose either for use on my own websites or producing a "new" product.

Having said that there is one guy in particular whose information product WSO's are absolutely excellent and I go out of my way to buy them all as I'm in this to make money and certainly not to keep on re-inventing the wheel!

  • I look at it like an investment, no risk, no reward - Most of the time, I find people that complain about such things are looking for a quick buck & didnt have the $ to spend in the first place - though I am sure some members selling WSOs are just here for the buck, members are honest enough to sort them out real quick! Those that are on here genuinely offering helpful products to other IMers should be remunerated (and will be gain a better reputation & subsequent sales because of it)

Back to my original point, if you budget to spend $x on your business & you find a relevant WSO and pick up one thing from it, i think you've done well. Its all relevant, doesn't matter if you spend $16 or $1600, you could afford to invest it.

I rambled a bit but i hope it makes sense!

I personally get a lot out of WSO's... like everyone has been saying, one WSO isn't going to make you thousands directly, but actually there could be a few tips in there that give you that "aha!" moment.

Also, if you know you want to learn a certain aspect about internet marketing, it's a simple way to get what you are looking for for cheap!

Of course you can surf the forum for all the answers for free, but for 7 bucks or whatever, I'd rather hear what someone has to say who is successful at it.

Also, if you know you want to learn a certain aspect about internet marketing, it's a simple way to get what you are looking for for cheap!

Of course you can surf the forum for all the answers for free, but for 7 bucks or whatever, I'd rather hear what someone has to say who is successful at it.

Totally agree with you JRCarson, Thanks for your input.

I've learned things that helped me improve my business, save time, and increase revenue. In addition, I've gotten WSOs of PLR content for specific projects that was a great value. I've also gotten some graphic packs in there that were great deals.

That being said, nothing in there is going to earn you a million dollars and Ferrari overnight. You shouldn't expect it to, either.

Part of the reason one can afford to give away their 'secrets' is not that they don't work. Its that most who receive are not disciplined enough to flourish with the knowledge undue competition.

I think, looking at the OP, there is a distinction to be draw for the various reasons people buy WSOs

If they currently do not have a solid business model, or have successfully built an income stream using a particular model and are looking to expand and investigate other methods, those people will be looking more for systems. Complete methods explained from A-Z. Some may drop lucky and find a method which suits their style and will actually work if applied consistently.

Another reason why people will buy is to supplement their existing business. Say, for example, you are involved with affiliate marketing Clickbank products and a WSO pops up to explain a tweak or technique to enhance Clickbank sales then you may be interested in that. Again, you may find that the technique or tweak can be applied to your existing business and you may well profit from deploying it.

A third reason is that a WSO may provide a tool which you need to further your existing business - a membership site plug-in or a Facebook Fanpage template as examples. These will add either functionality or traffic sources to your existing business and should result in an increase in income.

The forth reason is the one which really will not result in profits. That is serial method hopping. Going to the WSO board and being bedazzled by each and every method and sales promise on there.

Keep a clear head, don't get 'sold to' and ask yourself some tough questions about why you need the WSO before hitting the buy button.

And yes, this also applies to the WSOs which are only a couple of bucks. You may think you are getting a bargain but if it means you will be distracted from your main business, it could cost you much more.

My websites got a better ranking because I followed a WSO a long time ago. It did help me sell a few ebooks indirectly (I guess), but not immediately. I believe that everything depends on a series of factors. One WSO alone won’t save your life.

If you asking me 99% is pure crapp, on the other hand there are some people that offer real value but you can count them on one hand.

Well, different response about WSO seem to put a quest on it. Unless there is someone who has bought it and has used for a while and has made money for him/her. Is there such a one?

I've purchased WSOs from Steven Wagenheim, Colin Palfrey, CD Darlock, and Tim Gorman that have all helped me make more money in my article writing business.

The trick is to actually use the information, not just read the WSO.

well , really it depands, sometimes a wso work and other time wso doesn't work. but since internet marketing niche is now saturated and people are reproducing the same content again and again , it is very difficult to get some new way of making money online.

If you are starting out, then yes, if you stick to one of the systems you will make money. But too many jump around from system to system without sticking to it.

I buy WSO's from time to time, especially if they are a WSO of the day. There has been many methods or techniques that have helped my business that I have found through WSO's. I won't promote them here but the ones that help with building affiliate sites and generating traffic have helped me the most.
