I'm trying to test some banner ads on the Google Display Network. I've made 18 different designs with each of the different banner sizes that it supports. I've uploaded them, so each different design has it's own adgroup within the campaign. All of the banners have been approved and are active. I also select the option to 'display ads evenly' so each banner will gets it's chance in the spotlight.

The problem is, when I enable each adgroup. I leave it for a couple of days, come back to check my stats and Google has decided to pick maybe 2 or 3 of the designs and give them all of the impressions, so I'm left with another 15 designs that aren't getting shown.

Any idea why? Each adgroup has exactly the same keyword list, so I'm a little stumped as to why.

At the moment, I'm resorting to just displaying one adgroup per day and pausing all the others. As you can imagine it's pretty slow going.

Any ideas guys?

only thing i can think of is they may be doing that to stop your offering saturating people who are using the same keywords?

Did you ever get this resolved? Are all the default bids the same between the the 2-3 that impressions and the 15 that did not get any?

Here is a possible explanation. The display network relies on adsense publishers. The publishers choose what size banner to display on their site. Maybe some banner sizes are immensely more popular, to adsense publishers, than others. Perhaps the 3 that are getting you impressions are the ones that most adsense publishers use most of the time.
