Advice Needed on IM Fiverr-type site

I started BuyandSellGigs.com and am very actively trying to bring in buyers and sellers.

However, I'm not having much success so far finding sellers.

Without sellers there can be no buyers.

I'm advertising via Google, sharing it on social networks, forums, etc. I've tried to sweeten the deal by being commission-free for $5 and $10 gigs (and I'm thinking of making them all commission-free for a few weeks, just to bring in sellers.

I've also made it so the highest commission is 10%.

It's not proving to be real easy.

Any tips on getting sellers to list their services?

    What you need to is just personally go around a talk to individuals online and maybe get some solo ads to spread the word there is some great ones in the jv section of warrior forum.

    I think the banner could do with improving. The text "Share what you will do for money." can hardly be seen.

    The owner of fourrer gave $4 away to each person who setup an account. Maybe you could consider doing that to increase sellers.

    Create a special report explaining the whole fiverr phenomonon. Mention fiverr briefly but obviously make the report about your own site. Create a press kit with information about your site as well as the other leaders. Put your special report in the press kit. If you don't know how to put together a press kit do a search, it's easy. You could also contact me if you want.

    Create a press release and send it to your local news and radio outlets. Forget about distributing it online. That's a waste of time for this. Call radio stations hosting talk shows and tell them you have something hot, something that can help people who are out of work, something real.

    Ask to talk to the host of the show or the producer. Many hosts book their own guests. Your hook is the high unemployment situation nationwide. Get yourself booked for radio show interviews. If you can put two sentences together you will get booked because the topic is timely and people need the info. Once you do it locally, go national with it.

    I did this more than 60 times in the 90s promoting a physical book on real estate investing and sold them out the wazoo. The object of the game is to make the host of the show look like a genius for having you on. If you do that he or she will mention your site many times during the interview and thousands of people will come to sign up. Keep doing it.
