How to make internet faster?

I live in a small town where a company called frontier has a monopoly on the cable/phone/internet it's the only product you are able to use. Well there highest internet speed (dsl) is only about 3 mbps (even though it says "up to 6 mbps") anyway there is a project I am working on right now and I need to talk to potential customers via five9 (it's like skype but you can use it to take orders and such) and because my internet is a little to slow I'm having problems with my headset cutting out and I'm losing customers.

Basically what I'm asking is that because I already have the fastest internet package available is there a product you can buy that will make the internet faster?

Also five9 won't work with satellite or a wireless usb internet

Thanks

Hey Buddy ! I think speed of even 3 Mbps is more than enough to talk to your prospective customers through audio or video calling. I use an internet connection of lesser speed yet I can talk to my client's without any interruption.
I will suggest give SKype a trial it work efficiently on low speeds also.
And if you want to increase your download speed you can use Download accelerator plus , Internet download manager or several other software which can increase download speed up to five times.

I think the major bottleneck is the delay in calling images and other content from other servers. Obviously, having too many large files to display on the same page is going to slow things down tremendously for those not on a high-speed connection.

Always keep in mind that these numbers are the theoretical maximum, only achieved in a lab. Between you and whatever site you've plugged into your browser, the actual speed will necessarily be limited to the weakest link in that chain - i.e., the slowest relay point and once it has been restricted to a slower speed it can never increase it again unless/until it finds a better route.
