Create Many Free Blogs, Or Just One?

I'm starting to create more free blogs (Wordpress, Blogger, etc) to get more backlinks

Should I be creating a different blog for each keyword I am targeting, or just one for each niche?

    Just one for each niche.

    It's much better to have 1 PR 3-4 site than 10 PR1 sites. Rather than dispersing all your energy, focus your energy on building a real business out of one site.

    in my experience 1-5 blog per niche is good as long as you promote also those blogs so that they will provide good back link to your site
