My Site Was Finally Indexed By Google, But I Think There May Be A Problem

Okay, this may be too dumb, and I hope it is, but I've worked so hard on this site and have such high hopes, that maybe I'm a bit paranoid.

Google finally indexed my site but indexed it as domainname . com rather than www . domainname . com.

My worry is, I've spent so much time trying to create backlinks from social bookmarking sites and posting to forums, but when I leave my link, I always typed it as www . domainname . com.

Will this make a difference? Are all of those links no good now, or does www . domainname . com look the same to Google as domainname . com?

No, it wouldn't make a difference.

www is actually a subdomain. The default subdomain of google.com is Google unless you type in something else (ie. mail.google.com)

I believe that you can do a 301 redirect (.htaccess) from domain.com to www.domain.com

I honestly don't worry about it that much. Google has gotten much better about the whole issue.

If Big-G has indexed domain.com, likely it has indexed www.domain.com as well.

    Hello

Go to Googles webmaster tools....If you don't have your domain set up ...add it, then go to settings....then preferred domains....you can make a choice there how you want your site to display...with www or no www

    Hope that helps
