Support for converting review sites?

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of building a few a physical product review sites. My first product has over 10,000 searches a month. It's hit 2nd and 3rd position on first page of Google but flicking between first and fourth page. I'm not too concerned as I only began backlinking last week.

My main concern is optimising my site to convert. Although, I'm worried if I ask for advice (no disrespect to honest Warriors), the keywords I've found will be exposed for more competition.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

When it comes to review sites you can be damn near guaranteed someone has already created one. Just go look at theirs and see how they write their reviews, etc. I know a lot of people have pushed the Amazon widget thing, but after testing it didn't increase my conversion so down it came.

Having good call to actions is important. Capturing emails and building a list is important. I'm to the point with one list that I've removed all the content on the site with the exception of a squeeze page. Everything I promote/discuss is done through my auto-responder.

After browsing the forum it seems widgets aren't popular. Conversions are low.

I haven't integrated optin forms in my review sites yet. Perhaps I will soon.

      Thanks for your comments.
