How to find products for dificult niches

My blog is political in nature and I have been able to increase my traffic from my article writing, but the readers seem to be blind to the ads.

If my traffic counter is kosher, I get ~ 20K views a month, but Adsense gets abysmal hits a month and zero from other ads. How would I find matching products to complement my niche?

I'm passionate about my blog as I am trying to wake the public up to the trend our government is taking us. If it continues as is, our dollar will be worthless, they will kill the internet and eliminate our rights and freedoms

Hmmm... I saw an Obama survey CPA offer a few weeks ago with PeerFly. You could toss that up on your website. I believe the advertisement stated "Tell us how you think Obama is doing!" or something of that nature.

You get paid when a site visitor enter's their email address. Also what is your unique visitor traffic. 20k views is a lot of views yes, but how many uniques are you getting?

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you're having trouble finding products to offer your niche, it means you need to create one. A short report focusing on a particular aspect of your message is a great start.

Since there are so many bimbos in government on both sides of the aisle why not sell satirical stuff? There's tons of it out there. T-Shirts, mugs, bumper stickers, toilet paper with a picture of your least favorite clown on each sheet, and all the rest. As we get closer to next year's mid term elections this might be really hot. Get positioned now and make a killing. Maybe you could find a company to drop ship for you. Good luck.

I don't think you will lack something to promote on amazon.

Why not create an Ebook and then sell it? Rather than to try to sell someone else's product which you probably know more about than they do.

I agree there has to be a ton of political books and other items just with amazon

  • You're definitely going to have a hard time selling with that site because the people that are reading really don't care about products, they are there to see what you have to say. And the people that don't agree with what you have to say, definitely won't be buying from you, either, for obvious reasons.

I think travlinguy has a great idea with satirical products, though, that just might work. Writing an ebook espousing your own views and solutions would also be a great idea. Look through Amazon for products by people like Bill Maher or Michael Moore that your readership may identify with. You could also create your own products (with logo or 'calls to action', possibly?) and sell them through someone like CafePress.

Your traffic is definitely into emergency preparedness offers - seed banks, food storage, survival kits, gold investing, foreign currency investing, etc. Look at the type of offers that run on Glenn Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc.. :-)

You might want to develop a newsletter / autoresponder series and develop a squeeze page on your site so you can build a list from your traffic. Then you can find products on CBEngine, Amazon or eBay that might of interest to your subscribers. Remember the old adage of IM "The money is in the list".

Hmm... products for a political blog. Aha! What about sawn-off shotguns and other firearms made of undetectable resins?

    I jest, I jest.
