After seeing the suggestion for a business skills section of the forum, I thought we could use this thread for just that.

I'd like to ask a question, how do you make an IM business plan? What's included in it?.. etc

    My IM business plan any time I start a site or launch a product is as follows:


    1. Preliminary work-before you spend a penny
    2. Preparing for launch
    3. Launch
    4. Ongoing Maintenance

    Tendency is often to start strong then tempted to give up when get too overwhelmed, so I try to get as much into step one as possible. Before spending a penny I get blog entries ready, tweets ready, youtube videos ready, articles ready, etc.

    Preparing for launch is getting the domain, WP theme, YT account set up, etc.

    Launch is loading in all the content and driving traffic from all the sources.

    Any time I learn something new I want to use, I first plug it into one of these categories and make it a part of my step by step plan.

    6.1. Define strategy / Choose platforms
    6.2. Test, track & optimize


    I organize everything that I need to do, all the tasks that I need to accomplish until I get profitable. My plan includes everything from my goals until how I'll create my funnel and promote it. I try to put everything on paper before getting started so that I get organized and skyrocket my productivity. This way, I've managed to get rid of the random, pointless tasks that make us lose a lot of time and money.
