How To Monetize Streaming Movie Leads?

Hey Warriors, I have a list of 5,000 leads from streaming/download/torrent movie sites. Problem is: I can't seem to be able to convert them! People going to these sites are mostly teenagers looking for free stuff, which makes it very hard to find an offer they might be interested in.

I've tried Clickank, CPA, Amazon, nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

  • First, do you really expect teenagers looking for free pirated movies to buy anything?

And second, try building a site that doesn't link to pirated movies. You can put up the disclaimer that says 'No actual links to the movies are on my site' all you want, but you are still sending visitors to places that stream/download illegal movies, and are therefore promoting the illegal activity yourself.

Nope. Won't get any suggestions from me for that, and I would think most people here would feel the same way.
While it may not appear to be "ethical" there are tons of legal streamed videos, movies, and television episodes. Not everyone is looking for something that came out in theaters this past Friday. While it does exist, it's no reason to condemn others for it.

Doodler, there is always a way to monetize your website. If you or anyone reading this have streamed videos on your website I would recommend using Videobb. This company pays you for the amount of views your videos receive. The idea came to a friend of mine who is an avid fan of Japanese animation and created TailedFox so that other fans can watch when new episodes where available.

At first his plan was simply to help pay for hosting, however he underestimated the amount of fans their are world wide and he now makes a full time income from the site and no longer works a regular 9 to 5.

Hopefully this tip will help everyone who uses video media on their websites. Best of luck to you.

This is certainly true, but given a few of the things mentioned in that first paragraph, I don't think this is the case here. These people aren't looking for a Netflix or a Hulu, or they would have went there first.

And btw, this disclaimer on your friend's site tells me all I need to know:

"None of the video content of this website is hosted on our servers or servers of staff, family members or otherwise related in any way whatsoever. Unless otherwise stated, all video content are uploaded by and hosted on the servers of third-parties, so called Video Sharing Websites, such as YouTube, Dailymotion, Myspace Videos, and etc."

The vast majority of the tv and movie content at these places are UNLICENSED, which is why the files are being removed all the time because of copyright violations. As I said before, that disclaimer may protect them legally, but they're still propagating illegal activity.

And unless you are licensed to share the particular tv shows or movies, VideoBB won't help you, either. Those are SUPPOSED to be for uploading video for which you own the content, such as Youtube.

Totally agree with your POV while there are plenty of illegal forms of distribution we both also know there are legal ones as well. I was a little taken a back at the brisk response you initially gave to Doolder, while I did primarily agree, we simply don't actually know the nature of his website. So I felt it was a bit unfair considering we are here to help each other out with our vast knowledge and not the opposite.

I simply see it like this, those with ill intentions won't get anywhere here, I think we can all agree on that. So there is no need for brash comments or critiques. I think if any of us were in Mr.Doolder's position (while being within the limits of the law of course) I think we would be a bit turned off.

Hopefully I do not seem to animate about the response but I am a firm believer in treat others how you want to be treated. It's no kind of attack on you or anyone else son, just this old man's way of keeping the tensions low.

True enough. I can agree with that but, as I said, given some of things he said in the OP I just don't think that's the case here.

And I also notice that Mr.Doolder hasn't bothered to deny any of this, either.

I will, however, modify some of my original post if you think it sounds unfair. I certainly don't want to offend anyone, but at the same time I don't want to promote any 'unsavory' activities, either. If the site is indeed legitimate, then I would be more than happy to make some suggestions.

That is more than fair and I thank you sir. No need for editorials you are entitled to your opinion, I just didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea of how we operate.

Just to make things clear, this is NOT my website. I do not have any websites of that nature myself.

It's just that I found the opportunity to run a super cheap media buy on one of those sites and got thousands of leads for close to nothing...

Now I'm trying to do something with them...

You're not going to monetize that traffic.
