How to sell VPN as an affiliate?

I'm an affiliate with a VPN company and earning on average about $100 a month (low, I know) and want to step up with my marketing plans. So far, I've only been promoting on my website and a couple of forums.

Do you guys have ideas how else I should go about it that will bring in more sales? I'm kinda new to this so.. here's what I thought of:
1) Create a coupon site specific to that VPN company
2) Creating a tutorial site on how to use that VPN

Will these help drive more conversions?

    It certainly won't hurt conversions that's for sure.
    I've found people respond well to something when you show them how to use it and highlight it's benefits. Give it a go and see what happens. Worst case is it will cost you a few hours of your time.
