Facebook "Like" button error . . .

I installed a WP plugin for a facebook "Like" button to be added to my blog posts and pages.

The problem is that if I am logged into my "Fan Page"......the button on my website turns into a tiny "favicon-like" photo of the pic I use for my facebook profile.

If I log back into my regular, personal facebook, the button displays correctly on my blog.

I have searched through settings, plug in settings for that plug in and don't know where else to look for help.

P.S. My new fan page doesn't have the 25 likes yet to allow for vanity URL, etc...is this relevant?

Any ideas?

Facebook experts needed, please.

Thanks in advance.

I think it is doing that because it is tied into your Facebook account which you are logged into at the time, any other visitor to your site would see the normal like button as usual.

Would you mind helping me to make sure?

Please go to this site and see if you see a regular Facebook "Like" button below the Tweet button above page. . .

I'm also concerned about it going to my fan page, as when I hover over the "favicon" button I see when logged into my fan page, the URL is of my regular personal facebook and not that of my fan page...

    Thank you!

      Hi Carol,
I took a look at your like button and it looks fine from my end.

You may be seeing it different on your end when you are logged in but from someone elses perspective it looks fine.

It does not matter if you don't have the 25 fans yet that should not affect it at all.

Let me know if I can help you with any of it.

You might want to consider adding a "Like Box" to your page too to get more people to Like your Fan Page.

Yes,the tweet and like button are on top and are working fine,I tried the like button and it seems to be working.I don't know if it's directing to your fan page or personal page because on my Facebook personal page it will only show a picture of you/description and a link directly to your site.

Thanks for checking, Steve, and that makes me wonder if I need a different plug in to definitely go to my fan page.

I haven't been able to get a vanity URL yet, but this is the page I want people to go to:

        https://www.facebook.com/pages/Carol-Amato/ (remove) 149893171746081

Kate: Will check on the Like box, thanks.

Mostly concerned about which page it goes to now, since you all have been gracious enough to reassure me that the button is displaying properly.

I think what Kate said is what you need to do in order to have people direct to your fan page you need to install a Like Box
That would be the best solution for you.
