"Tadaa" Finally did it!
"Today at 12:44 I typed my new website address into my browser and hit enter, and up popped that ugly sucker that "is" the same ugly sucker I built on NVU". Yep, this has to be ugliest baby I've ever seen.
It has a full page blue background with a picture of a product on the top left and a box with the site name on the right. The next table down has some bullet points where the colors overlap and the third table down has a widget "twirly thing-a'ma-jig" that lets you scroll through products. Kind of like the albums you store on Itunes. EEEEyyyuuuck!
I've heard it said that "If you don't do right, don't do it at all". Whoever said that hasn't tried to build a website in my view. But, I'll keep working on it.
To all you guys and gals who whip out and publish a keen looking website in minutes, God bless you. This has taken me days of typing, entering, deleting, refreshing, frustration, self mutilation, self doubt, starvation, self pity, self motivation, ambition, ambivalence, a fist-full of four letter words and anger management!
"Dam, it can sure be hard to learn". "Reading and doing are two entirely different things". "But, perseverance won".
I've had no formal training like most of you, I've picked up a piece here and there and finally put it all together. I'm sure a lot of you can relate.
To all you newbies just like me---keep pounding away. I am not finished yet but now I can see the light and my computer hardware is still in one piece!
"Don't quit!" Ever!
Next step-driving traffic.
