The "Distribution Drama"...

Before I go into my current situation I want to say something first: it feels great to be here guys, because I was so busy in the past 6 months to get things going, to take action that I forgot one important little thing...NEVER try to reinvent the wheel. And I thought it was about time to reach out!

Currently, I've followed my copywriting course, set up my Getresponse, I have a market for my stuff (and already sold them the mentor product as it was developed), I'm only a couple of hours away of finishing my product and I already have my website up and running and I'm feeling pretty darn good about it. I only have one sticking point though: distribution.

You see, I'm selling information products (advice ebooks) but have been struggling with the downloadable vs. physical product dillema. Thanks to my IT dad I know WAY more about internet than about logistics, but now I'm not so sure anymore....which is better? Anyways...here's the drama:

I know how back-end products can double your profits and see all these guys in the industry sell subscriptions...and I just can NOT seem to find a good platform for it. I want to do an ezine that's released on a monthly basis, so the content changes each month, but how can I distribute it DIGITALLY? It has to be protected too so only the guy paying for it can download or see it...

- Should I sell it using some shopping cart, software or service?...I've looked for hours and hours and can't find one suitable for this (PayPal can't do it, Click2sell also can't, most merchant accounts also can't)
- Should I sell it on a separate part of my site that you can only access with a password? And how can I do this and be able to change the content...
- How can I organize the possibility for customers to pay in installments? So when a product costs 500 bucks, that they can pay in 3 equal amounts?

Any suggestions on the distribution part? Or should I change to another back-end product?

All help is welcome!

If I were you I would look into Nanacast. It was built by a Warrior (Josh Anderson) and I've heard nothing but great things about it. It basically combines a payment platform with a complete membership platform.

If you do a search for it here you will find out all about it.

Anyway I'm quite sure Nanacast can do exactly what you are wanting to do - or come very close.

    Best regards,
    Ken

    Thanks Ken, great tip!

My main site is built with Wordpress, so the "Member Lock" function of Nanacast will surely help me out...I'll have to take a good look at the subscription possibilities of nanacast though (and decide whether it's pro or viral membership too).

    Kindest regards,

    Dennis

P.S: does anyone else have other suggestions? I always like to keep my options open and compare before making big decisions
