500,000 Royalty-Free Images For Only €9.99

Hello Warriors:

I was browsing in a bookshop today and, despite having passed them without a second-look countless times, I stopped at one of those Computer CD racks (the 'spinny' ones with what I thought were just cheapo computer games that might have looked pretty good in about 1987).

Turns out I was wrong... I found one with 500,000 images (all very high quality, as it turned out), all nicely arranged in categories, all exportable to PhotoShop, Gimp, etc., all licensed for use in pretty much anything you want, and all for just €9.99 (which is about U.S. $13 dollars). I've paid far more for a single picture bought online.

I tend to be blinded by a why-bother-when-I-can-probably-find-what-I-want-on-Google mindset but no more: These will need no downloading... no online searches... no right-click-and-save... nothing... they're all next to my computer on a shelf.

Dunno why I didn't stop at that rack years ago.

Thanks for the tip Tommy, I had never really thought of looking to cheap images somewhere else besides online. I may have to drop by the bookstore. Of course not until after Christmas as its a zoo around here at the moment.

Oops: Just edited that: it's actually 500,000 images... not 50,000.

€0.00001998 an image isn't a bad rate.

Pretty good, could you show us samples so we can see the quality of those? I don't think I could find such a CD where I live, good find!

I vaguely remember seeing cd's like that at Walmart a while ago. Never payed them that much attention.
