Q - how to monetize a tea making website?

If you had a web site about how to make good tasting tea, what would you do to monetize it well?

Affiliate links to where people could buy tea is a given, as well as tea accessories.

What else?

Check out Generation Tea - organic Chinese green Pu-erh tea, oolong, white, gourmet kosher.

Also, Amazon would be a good way to monetize your site.

Teavanna is a very popular tea business these days. I couldn't find an affiliate program for them, but Amazon probably sells their products.

Well if you receive a large number of visitors, you could try selling your own Ebooks and Videos about making tea!

Keep it in the lower price range ($1-$50) for maximum sales, cuz no one wants to spend a 100 bucks to learn how to make tea!

    Good luck with your site!

I was going to suggest that myself

How about 'pay per view' video, where you show techniques to brew the perfect cuppa?

And sell recipes for 'exotic teas' - ginger, lemon, pepper, jasmine, etc. I was amazed at how Tetley prices its premium teas at nearly double that of regular - when a similar flavor can be attained, for example, by squeezing a few drops of lemon into regular!

Tea lovers and drinkers would certainly pay a modest sum (under $5) to learn these things.

Another angle may be the health benefits of different kinds of tea - and that opens up a new vista of potential affiliate promotions.

      Hope this helps
      All success

I would think anything food or drink related. Recipe ebooks, Baked goods recipes and products, Tea of the month club (assuming they exist), Products related to peace and prosperity i.e. meditation, relaxation and such. Just a couple of ideas off the top of my head.

These sound excellent ideas, to me.

Also healthfoods/e-books specifically related to "anti-oxidants". Many people have become tea-drinkers for the anti-oxidants.

I remember when I was first online, just over 3 years ago, looking at some affiliate sites (without then even knowing what an "affiliate" was), one of the first sites I found was a beautiful "tea site", promoting (very effectively) some amazingly expensive teas. I imagine the owner did very well from the site: it really was a remarkable one. I've looked for it many times since then, but can't remember what it was called or how I originally found it.

It's not one of my own niches but I'm still "residually interested" in it and may try it some time.

I think tea's something that large numbers of people spend a lot of money on. Could easily be one of those "sleeping giant" niches.

I'd write an e-book as the incentive for an opt-in: "Tea Koans for the 21st Century: Zen In The Art Of Antioxidants", or something ... (just thinking aloud, here ... ).

Thanks for all the ideas, guys.

My own ebook about how to make tea... hmm I really wonder if anyone would buy that. It's not like it's that hard to find out how to make tea with a Google search! To be honest. I guess only one way to find out huh?

I would suggest you create several tea recipe books... here are a few keywords to get you started:

    tea recipes . 60,500
    iced tea recipe . 40,500
    tea recipe . 6,100
    tea cake recipe . 18,100

just search those keywords in Google's keyword tool and you'll reveal a lot more along these lines.

What is the CPC for tea making keywords? Maybe you could make some money with Adsense.

Amazon is also a good idea, although you, probably, won't make much money from it. Maybe you should create your own product?
